Rao Jie was momentarily stunned, staring blankly at Wu Rong. She was trying to digest what Wu Rong had just said. How… how did this suddenly come up? Weren't they supposed to be going to…?
Wu Rong smiled and said, “Didn’t we agree on this last night? Why are you hesitant now?”

When the cameraman asked them to smile for the camera, Wu Rong leaned in and softly said, “Jie Jie, from now on, you belong to me.”
Rao Jie couldn't help but smile back. “Mm!”

They stamped their documents and received their marriage certificate.

Rao Jie shyly nodded in agreement. “Mm, I’ll listen to you.”
Wu Rong smiled gently, stroking Rao Jie's head, but his gaze gradually sharpened.
Soon, they arrived at the police station. Rao Jie wasn't as furious as Wu Rong had imagined; after all, she was still in a daze from another piece of good news. She held onto her marriage certificate tightly throughout the journey, while Wu Rong sweet-talked her to lighten the mood. By the time they reached the police station, Rao Jie felt much better.
As they stepped through the door, Wu Rong firmly grasped Rao Jie's hand and said, "Don't be afraid; leave everything to me. This is a privilege of being your husband." The term "husband" made Rao Jie blush unexpectedly, and she nodded shyly like a well-behaved little wife.
However, when Rao Jie saw her parents rushing toward her, her expression darkened again.
Rao Gang was the first to speak, looking worriedly at Rao Jie. "Jie Jie, how are you? Is your health okay? Your brother... this is just unacceptable!"
As he spoke, Rao Gang gritted his teeth. How had his son turned into this? His daughter had been drugged, and as a father, it was truly hard to express his feelings. Thankfully, Rao Jie was unharmed; otherwise, he couldn't imagine how things would have turned out.
The Hu family rushed over as well. "Rao Jie, you're such a good child! Please withdraw your complaint. Hu Ze didn't mean it; he was drunk and didn't know anything! The drugs were given by your brother—who knows what he was thinking? This is a serious charge; it's not something to joke about."
