In the next moment, Yu Chan made a voice call. Wu Yunyun put on her headphones and began to share her romantic progress with her. After finishing, she let out a sigh of relief, feeling a mix of joy and anxiety because of her boyfriend, Gu Si Yi.
"Oh my gosh, what did you just say? You're actually with Gu Si Yi! Wu Yunyun, I'm so jealous of you right now! Just wait, you'll have to deal with all the girls from our school as rivals," Yu Chan exclaimed.
"Come on, it's not that dramatic. Nothing has really happened between us," Wu Yunyun said softly.
"Are you out of your mind? With such a handsome guy right there, you're not making a move?!" Yu Chan thought of Gu Si Yi's handsome face and squeezed her blanket tightly.
"But I really don't feel secure; the gap between us is too big," Wu Yunyun replied, but was interrupted by Yu Chan.
"Come on, girl! Why are you overthinking this? You just started dating; why are you already thinking about the end? If you keep this up, you'll never enjoy the happiness of being in love!"
Wu Yunyun knew Yu Chan was right, but she just couldn't overcome that mental barrier.
"Stop worrying so much. Just cherish what you have right now," Yu Chan comforted Wu Yunyun for a while. After hanging up the phone, she shook her head, thinking that this girl truly didn't know how to appreciate her good fortune.
With a little push from Yu Chan, Wu Yunyun managed to suppress those strange emotions and found herself looking forward to tomorrow.
The two were driven to the ski resort by the family chauffeur. Upon arrival, Wu Yunyun noticed that Gu Si Yi was there with his friends. Each of them had their girlfriends by their side.
Since she wasn't familiar with them, Wu Yunyun instinctively moved closer to Gu Si Yi. He noticed her action and leaned in to whisper in her ear, "Girlfriend, please give me some face later. In front of my friends, let's at least act a bit more affectionate."
Wu Yunyun's face turned red as she nodded in agreement. He reached out his hand to her. "Let me introduce you to everyone."
Wu Yunyun glanced at him and placed her hand in his palm. In the next moment, he tightened his grip around her hand. His hands were warm, and Wu Yunyun felt the heat radiating through her skin, causing her palms to sweat lightly.
As they got closer, Sun Xian was the first to extend his hand. "Hello there! I'm Sun Xian; just call me Xian Ge since I'm two years older than you."
Gu Si Yi brushed his hand away and directly bypassed him to introduce the other two to Wu Yunyun. Wu Yunyun called out to each person in turn.
What about me? Why isn’t anyone introducing me? Sun Xian thought, feeling a bit frustrated as he wanted to make an impression in front of Wu Yunyun.
Gu Si Yi grabbed her and said, "Let’s go rent some clothes." The others chuckled at their antics.
Once the two were a distance away, Lu Xiaoqi’s girlfriend, Tian Mei, remarked, "What’s going on? Why does Gu Si Yi want to date that country bumpkin?"
As soon as she said this, the others turned to look at her. At that moment, Lu Xiaoqi pinched Tian Mei’s hand hard.
"Ouch! You’re hurting me!" Tian Mei exclaimed, pulling her hand away.
Lu Xiaoqi, however, was not going to let her off easily. "If you want to play around, keep going; if not, just go home!" he said bluntly.
Tian Mei frowned in confusion but quickly realized why he was upset. What was so special about that plain girl that they felt the need to defend her?
Seeing Lu Xiaoqi's genuine anger, she felt indignant and took a couple of steps forward, only to find he wasn’t following her. With a dark expression, she turned back to confront him. After a moment of staring each other down, she reluctantly lowered her tone. "What’s wrong with you, Xiaoqi?"
Lu Xiaoqi stepped closer and told her firmly, "You have only one chance."
"Got it," Tian Mei replied, determination flashing in her eyes as she glanced at the distant figure. She thought to herself that she would definitely make that girl regret it later!
