"It’s okay," Gu Si Yi summarized simply.
Next, others gradually presented their gifts—each one requiring a hefty sum to acquire—but at that moment, he found it all rather dull. He couldn’t help but wonder what Wu Yunyun was doing at that time. Did she really forget about him just because he was coming here for his birthday?

Sun Xian laughed mischievously but stopped when he saw Gu Si Yi’s cold gaze fixed on him with eyes as frigid as ice.
Sun Xian halted his laughter as the others approached too; Tian Mei looked incredulous: "Could it be that poor girl didn’t come and made Gu Si Yi miss her?"
Han Hanyue asked directly, "Gu Si Yi, we all came here to celebrate your birthday with good intentions, yet you’re acting unhappy. What’s going on?"
Gu Si Yi coldly stared at her and retorted, "Am I unhappy?"
"Could you be any more obvious? What’s wrong with you? Just say it, and we’ll solve it together. The way you are now makes it seem like we’re strangers!"
"I’m not unhappy; I just don’t feel that happy."
"Is it because Wu Yunyun isn’t here?" Han Hanyue looked him straight in the eyes, voicing the concern that everyone present shared.
She was about to get a response from him.
