"Get lost!" Han Hanyue shouted at He Luan before entering the classroom.
Sun Xian wrapped his arm around He Luan's shoulder. "Are you serious, man?"
"Do I look like I'm joking?" He Luan replied, ignoring the two of them as he headed back to class.
Sun Xian and Lu Xiaoqi exchanged bewildered glances. What was going on here?
Lu Xiaoqi was also taken aback by He Luan's boldness. However, since Gu Si Yi no longer seemed to care about Han Hanyue, it didn't matter that He Luan liked her. From the way He Luan had looked at Han Hanyue earlier, it seemed he genuinely had feelings for her.
He chuckled and squeezed Sun Xian's shoulder. "Let's just sit back and watch how this unfolds."
After Gu Si Yi stepped out, he didn't want to go anywhere else. For some inexplicable reason, he found himself heading towards the first-year teaching building.
When he reached the door of Class 3 in the first year, he peeked through the back door but didn’t see Wu Yunyun anywhere. Over the past few days, he had deliberately avoided keeping tabs on her, but now that he couldn’t find her, a sense of unease washed over him.
After waiting through a class period, when the teacher finally came out, he directly asked about Wu Yunyun.
Upon learning that she had a fever, his expression grew even more serious.
"Gu Si Yi, what are you doing here?"
He looked up to see a thin girl standing in front of him, glaring at him as if he were her enemy.
"Do you need something?"
"I'm Yu Chan, a friend of Wu Yunyun. I just want to advise you—since you've decided to break up, don’t linger around."
"You’re overthinking it; I’m just—"
Yu Chan made a shushing gesture and said, "Your reasons don’t matter. What’s important is that if Wu Yunyun were here today, your presence would only trouble her."
"I understand." Gu Si Yi turned and walked away.
Yu Chan watched his retreating figure and muttered under her breath, "What a weirdo."
Gu Si Yi walked briskly towards the playground. He realized he had truly lost his mind; they had already decided to break up—what difference did it make to glance at her one more time?
One day, he would forget her. He knew that love was the most unreliable thing there was.
He took out his phone and blacklisted Wu Yunyun.
Wu Yunyun had been feeling unwell for three days, but gradually, her health improved. She returned to school, resumed her classes, and slowly found her rhythm. She didn't expect to see Gu Si Yi, and indeed, she did not encounter him.
At the same time, she made a decision. After the final exams, Wu Yunyun shared her thoughts with Wu's Mother.
"You want to go to Yun Cheng?" Wu's Mother's first reaction was confusion; the educational resources in Yun Cheng couldn't compare to those in Teikyo.
"Mom, didn't you always tell me not to associate with those spoiled rich kids? To be honest, I often feel out of place at school. I just can't truly fit in."
"Wu Yunyun, those are secondary concerns. The important thing is that in Teikyo, you can attend a good high school and have a high chance of getting into a prestigious university. Besides, based on your performance, you seem to be adapting fairly well. As for everything else, let's just endure it for now."
"I'm sorry, Mom."
"Are you really sure about this?" Wu's Mother suppressed the urge to scold her; after all, she was just a teenager, and it was normal for her to be immature.
Wu Yunyun nodded. "Mom, everything has two sides. Think about it—now that Grandpa and Grandma aren't in great health, if I go there, I can help take care of them."
Wu's Mother looked at Wu Yunyun. Throughout her life, her daughter rarely made significant decisions on her own; perhaps she was truly pushed to her limits this time.
"Then when you go there, you need to study hard and keep up with your schoolwork. Do you understand?"
Wu Yunyun nodded and sighed in relief internally. She could finally leave Teikyo and leave him behind.
