Wu Yunyun woke up in Gu Si Yi's embrace that morning. She recalled his explanations from the night before. He had said that he had only been intimate with her in that way. And yesterday, she had witnessed a more reckless side of him.

"Yeah, it's my fault." Gu Si Yi didn't seem upset; instead, he nuzzled against her cheek playfully.
Wu Yunyun felt like she was navigating through work in a daze. The progress between her and Gu Si Yi felt like riding a rocket. Initially, she approached him with caution, but as time passed, his gaze made her feel that he was serious about their relationship.
However, she couldn't claim to fully understand him; perhaps once he grew tired of her, he would leave without hesitation. Maybe it wouldn't even take six months.
Since they got together, the person she shared herself with had become Gu Si Yi. Being with him gradually introduced her to some financial knowledge. She realized that his life wasn't as glamorous as she had imagined; there were many people trying to trip him up behind the scenes.
He often shared with her the challenges he faced, but each time Wu Yunyun listened, she merely smiled, feeling like an observer. During those moments, Gu Si Yi would pin her down and tease her mercilessly.
Wu Yunyun was waiting for the day when she would no longer feel attached to him. As the days passed and half a year approached, she found herself still deeply infatuated.
One day, Gu Si Yi mentioned that he wanted to introduce her to his friends. Wu Yunyun hesitated for a long time before finally agreeing. After all, soon she would be parting ways with him, and he had no expectations of her; instead, it was she who had passively accepted many gifts from him.
The gathering was set at a villa in the suburbs. When Lu Xiaoqi and the others arrived and saw Wu Yunyun, they respectfully called her "sister-in-law." Wu Yunyun glanced at Gu Si Yi and ultimately accepted the title.
What surprised her was that Han Hanyue was now with He Luan. Looking at Han Hanyue, she noticed that her state was not very good. Remembering how Han Hanyue used to be a proud little princess in middle school, Wu Yunyun couldn't help but feel nostalgic about how things had changed.
As they played cards, Wu Yunyun grew bored and decided to go to the restroom. Shortly after, Han Hanyue followed her in. She blocked Wu Yunyun inside and said something that shocked her.
"Wu Yunyun, please help me! I'm about to go crazy because of He Luan! He's a lunatic! You're the only one who can save me," Han Hanyue pleaded, grabbing Wu Yunyun's hand. "Really, only you can help me. If you plead with Gu Si Yi on my behalf, He Luan will definitely let me go out of respect for him."
Wu Yunyun slowly pulled her hand away. "I don't have that kind of power."
