Lin Miao, a family doctor, was a friend of Gu Si Yi. She examined Wu Yunyun's injuries and noticed the deepening gaze of Gu Si Yi. Previously, their friends had teased him about his unusual preferences, but now it was clear that he was perfectly normal—indeed, extraordinary. 0

Wu Yunyun had twisted her ankle, but it wasn't serious; it would heal in about a week. "Just remember to avoid using your left foot as much as possible during this time," Lin Miao instructed, handing some ointment to Gu Si Yi. "This one is for external injuries, and this one is for internal injuries. Apply them twice a day, morning and evening." She tossed both tubes of ointment to him. 0

Before leaving, she reminded Gu Si Yi to take it easy. Wu Yunyun had been blushing the entire time, and once the doctor was gone, she lay down and covered her face with the blanket. Gu Si Yi stared at her for a while before pulling the blanket away. "Don't suffocate yourself," he said. He then sat down beside her. "Let me help you apply the ointment. Don't move." 0

Wu Yunyun attempted to kick him away with her leg, but he held her down with his hand. In the end, she buried her face into the pillow. They sat in silence for a long time until Wu Yunyun felt like she could hardly hold it in any longer; she needed to go to the bathroom. 0

She got up from the bed on her own. "Where are you going?" Gu Si Yi pressed down on her shoulder. 0

Wu Yunyun pointed toward the bathroom. A sense of despair began to rise within her; the image she had worked so hard to maintain was completely shattered in that moment. 0

Gu Si Yi scooped her up and carried her to the toilet, setting her down gently. "Do you need me to help?" he asked. 0

"Get out!" Wu Yunyun shouted, raising her voice. 0

Gu Si Yi stepped back a few paces but left the door ajar to prevent her from falling. Wu Yunyun felt like she was on the verge of breaking down and decided to treat him as if he were transparent. 0

When Gu Si Yi turned back to look at Wu Yunyun again, he was met with a face devoid of any affection. 0

"Gu Si Yi, you are an absolute jerk!" Wu Yunyun exclaimed, hitting his chest with both hands. "The image I worked so hard to maintain has been ruined by you!" 0

"What image did you have before?" Gu Si Yi asked, catching her off guard. 0

Wu Yunyun was stumped by his question; whatever it was, it certainly wasn’t what she was doing now—defecating in front of him! 0

The last two words were almost bitten out by Wu Yunyun. 0

"What are you thinking all day?" Gu Si Yi walked over and pulled her back into his embrace. "I don't mind." 0

"But I do! I hope what we leave behind are all beautiful memories!" Wu Yunyun was on the verge of a breakdown. 0

Gu Si Yi lifted her back onto the bed and gently kissed her. "You still have your charm." 0

"Be good and rest well," he said, planting a light kiss on her forehead. 0

Wu Yunyun's inexplicable emotions were soothed by him. 0

During the day, Gu Si Yi continued to work, but at night, he kept her company. He knew she enjoyed reading novels, so he specially brought her an e-reader, preloaded with books, and placed it by the bed. 0

After two days, Wu Yunyun was still restless. She had already set in her mind that they would part ways, so she had to make it happen. 0

She felt that Gu Si Yi's lack of annoyance with her was probably due to his interest in her body; however, such interest was hard to maintain. 0

Historically, those who relied on beauty to please others rarely ended well. 0

Taking advantage of Gu Si Yi going to work, Wu Yunyun quietly got out of bed. After two days of exercise, she could now walk a little on her right leg independently. Moreover, her left foot was no longer as severe as it had been initially. 0

Wu Yunyun felt as if she could see the dawn of victory. 0
