Gu Si Yi held her hand, studying her closely. Her originally gentle features now appeared three-dimensional, exquisite like a Barbie doll.
So beautiful, my Wu Yunyun. Gu Si Yi kissed her cheek, but I only like you because you are Wu Yunyun.
He pushed her outside, saying, "Be good and wait for me; it's too smoky in here."
Wu Yunyun stepped out, cupping her face in her hands. She realized that Gu Si Yi's sweet words were becoming increasingly charming.
After they finished breakfast, they headed to a large amusement park in the city center. Gu Si Yi bought two all-day passes and said to Wu Yunyun, "Today, we’re going to have a blast!"
"Okay." Wu Yunyun took his hand and said, "Gu Si Yi, when I was little, I really wanted to come to an amusement park. But back then, my family wasn’t well-off, so I never got the chance."
Looking back, she felt a deep sense of regret about her childhood.
"I'll make it up to you from now on," Gu Si Yi said, gently stroking Wu Yunyun's fingers to comfort her.
They leaned against each other as they entered. Wu Yunyun spotted the carousel and said to Gu Si Yi, "Let’s try this first."
"Sure."
Once they were on, Gu Si Yi took out his phone and snapped pictures of Wu Yunyun. In the frame, she was smiling radiantly.
Wu Yunyun held onto the railing and turned to look at Gu Si Yi as the carousel rose and fell beneath them. This scene felt like something out of a TV drama.
As the carousel slowly came to a stop, Gu Si Yi's phone filled with more photos of Wu Yunyun. He thought that finally he could update the pictures in his wallet.
Hand in hand, they came across a stall selling hair accessories. Wu Yunyun tugged at Gu Si Yi's arm and pleaded with him to buy one for her.
Gu Si Yi let Wu Yunyun choose. She picked two little yellow chick hair clips and placed one on Gu Si Yi's head.
Gu Si Yi bent down, allowing Wu Yunyun to play with it.
The vendor laughed joyfully, saying, "You two have such great chemistry! Originally, I sell these for ten yuan each, but for you lovebirds, I'll give you both for just fifteen."
Gu Si Yi thanked the vendor and paid without hesitation.
With a chick clip perched on each of their heads, they held hands and moved on to the next attraction.
Wu Yunyun looked at the giant swing ride where people were swaying at various angles and asked Gu Si Yi, "Do you want to try this one?"
Gu Si Yi glanced at it and his expression changed slightly.
"You don't have to worry about it, just wait for me here," Wu Yunyun said as she prepared to check the tickets.
Gu Si Yi grabbed Wu Yunyun's hand and said, "Do you know that men can't stand being told 'no'?" With that, he held her hand tightly and pulled her along to check the tickets.
After putting on a brave front, Gu Si Yi quickly found a secluded spot to throw up. Wu Yunyun patted his back, feeling worried as she scolded him, "Don't push yourself like this. I'm not a child anymore; you don't have to accompany me."
Once Gu Si Yi had emptied his stomach, Wu Yunyun handed him a tissue.
Zhu Lan was out with her boyfriend when she spotted a familiar figure. Squinting, she realized it was Wu Yunyun. She pulled her boyfriend closer and greeted Wu Yunyun, "Oh my gosh, Wu Yunyun! It's really you! I thought I was seeing things!"
Then she glanced at the person beside Wu Yunyun and noticed how much he resembled a young master.
Wu Yunyun pressed Gu Si Yi down to keep him from showing his face. "What a coincidence!" she exclaimed.
Zhu Lan frowned, puzzled by Wu Yunyun's behavior. "What's going on? Is her boyfriend someone who can't be seen in public?" But in an instant, her eyes sparkled with curiosity. "She definitely has something going on!"
Gu Si Yi bent over, feeling unwell. Just as he was about to straighten up, Wu Yunyun pressed him down again. While doing so, she turned to Zhu Lan and said, "I'm sorry, Lanlan. My boyfriend isn't feeling well and needs to throw up for a bit. You two should probably leave quickly!"
