After spending the weekend with Gu Si Yi, Wu Yunyun had some unexpected visitors at her home.
When she opened the door, she was greeted by two stylishly dressed women, their faces beaming with exaggerated smiles. "Hello, are you Miss Wu? My name is Mu, and I’m the founder of our brand. This is my assistant, Zhi Lan. We’re here today to take your measurements for some clothing."
Wu Yunyun was still in a bit of a daze when Gu Si Yi appeared behind her. "Hello! Please come in," he said warmly.
He had researched several brands and selected outfits that suited her style. Wu Yunyun was quite frugal and owned many clothes that clearly showed signs of years of wear. However, he wanted her to try out different styles. After all, he worked hard to earn money for her sake.
Wu Yunyun learned that they had come from the suburbs and quickly ushered them inside. She grabbed two disposable cups and filled them with water. "Thank you for your hard work."
"It’s no trouble at all," Zhi Lan replied sincerely. In fact, they had been sent over by Mr. Gu in a special car.
Their brand was known for its high pricing, but Mr. Gu had told them not to worry about the costs.
Zhi Lan handed Wu Yunyun a brochure for their brand. "This is our promotional booklet; you can take a look."
After a quick glance, Wu Yunyun understood that the brand focused on light, comfortable clothing that still retained a playful charm. Zhi Lan then presented some finished products from their store to Wu Yunyun. "Miss Wu, these are some of our latest designs; feel free to check them out."
As soon as Wu Yunyun held a shirt in her hands, she felt how comfortable it was. Despite appearing thick, it was surprisingly light.
"We're here to take your measurements today, and then you can choose your favorite styles from this booklet for us to tailor specifically for you," Zhi Lan explained.
Wu Yunyun listened intently, trying to maintain a smile, but both women noticed that her smile seemed a bit forced.
Gu Si Yi stepped in at the right moment, wrapping his arm around her waist. "Don't think too much about it; I can afford a few outfits."
With so many people around, Wu Yunyun obediently allowed them to take her measurements. From the brochure, she selected several outfits at reasonable prices.
After they left, Gu Si Yi sent her a message to confirm the custom clothing order and transferred a deposit of twenty thousand yuan to her account.
After they left, Wu Yunyun slumped onto the sofa and said to Gu Si Yi, "You shouldn't act on your own in the future!" She still hadn't repaid him for the breach of contract, and now he was rushing her for money.
"Wu Yunyun, what are you worried about? We reached an agreement just yesterday. During our relationship, all expenses will be covered by me."
"But your money doesn't come from thin air."
Gu Si Yi opened his payment app and showed her the balance.
Wu Yunyun glanced at it and was shocked to see that his daily earnings had so many zeros. This was just a portion of what he made while he slept.
The guilt in Wu Yunyun's heart vanished instantly. For him, money wasn't a scarce resource. Perhaps for him, customizing clothes for her was as simple as buying her a bottle of water.
"I won't pay you back for the breach of contract you covered for me," Wu Yunyun said, taking a deep breath.
Gu Si Yi took a moment to process what she had said. "Who told you to pay it back?!" He pinched her cheek, applying a bit of pressure.
"Ouch!" Wu Yunyun frowned and placed her hand on his to push him away.
Gu Si Yi then held the back of her head and kissed her. He nibbled on her cheek and then pulled out a secondary card.
"This is for you. Feel free to use it."
Wu Yunyun looked at the card and couldn't help but smile. At that moment, she finally felt what it was like to be in a relationship with a powerful CEO.
She pecked him on the cheek and, mimicking a little girl, squeaked, "Thank you, CEO!"
Gu Si Yi gazed at her, his eyes deepening.
Wu Yunyun felt a bit shy.
He pulled her closer and kissed her deeply.
