He Luan fixed his gaze on the hand resting on her waist, a single thought crossing his mind: he wanted to rip that arm away completely. But in the end, he said nothing, only smiled and offered his congratulations. 0

After He Luan left, Fu Hongyi withdrew his hand. Han Hanyue bent down to apologize, "Fu Ge, I'm sorry for using you just now." She watched him carefully, afraid that he might be upset. 0

"It's fine." Fu Hongyi managed to squeeze out those two words stiffly before turning away to grab a spray bottle and leaving. She watched his retreating figure, suddenly feeling a pang of guilt. She hoped she hadn’t made him angry. 0

However, Fu Hongyi's subsequent behavior relieved her. That evening, Han Hanyue didn’t dare call Fu Hongyi over again. Yet, He Luan's earlier congratulations lingered in her mind. She couldn’t shake the feeling that he wasn’t at ease. 0

Opening her music app, she searched for a light melody to play. As she listened, memories flooded back of how she had subconsciously relied on He Luan since his arrival, treating him like her lifeline. But did he truly want that? 0

"Han Hanyue, don’t be so selfish," she thought to herself. 0

At eleven o'clock, Fu Hongyi knocked on the door as usual. Han Hanyue turned off her music without asking anything and directly opened the door. Outside stood Fu Hongyi, holding a glass of milk. When he saw her, his usually calm face showed an unusual hint of embarrassment. 0

"Ran Ran, would you like some milk before bed?" 0

Han Hanyue let him in and drank the milk slowly. Five minutes later, the glass was empty. She placed it down hesitantly and spoke up, "Fu Ge, could you stay over tonight?" 0

Fu Hongyi nodded. As she watched him, she noticed a slight flush on his ears and felt a surge of speculation in her heart. But was it really possible? If he truly liked her, why hadn’t she sensed it before? 0

Lying in bed, Han Hanyue found Fu Hongyi lying properly on the other side. Tentatively, she asked, "Fu Ge, why did you agree to come to Yu Jiang with me back then?" 0

When she had mentioned going to Yu Jiang initially, her grandfather had worried about her being lonely and chosen Fu Hongyi from among many subordinates. He had agreed without hesitation. 0

She wondered if his quick agreement meant he truly had feelings for her, or if it was simply because her grandfather had helped him in the past. 0

"I am Han Lao's subordinate. As a subordinate, the most important thing is to obey orders," Fu Hongyi replied, too afraid to confess his feelings to her. He feared she would not accept his heart. 0

Over the years spent with her, he had come to understand that she held little expectation for love. Rather than risk pushing her away by expressing his feelings, he preferred to stay by her side in another capacity. Whether she regarded him as a friend or an older brother, he accepted it. 0

Han Hanyue nodded, "I understand. Thank you, Brother Fu." 0

That night, Han Hanyue slept soundly, while both of them harbored different thoughts. When she awoke, she found herself once again in Fu Hongyi's embrace. This time, she was bolder than before, resting her hand on his chest muscles. 0

Realizing what she had done, she quickly withdrew her hand as if shocked. Fu Hongyi stirred awake and their eyes met for two seconds before they both turned away in embarrassment. 0

To ease the tension, Fu Hongyi spoke first, "I'll go make breakfast." 0

Han Hanyue responded absently, thinking that no matter what happened tonight, she couldn't let him come over again. She felt too reckless; if she scared him away prematurely, it would be over. 0

In the following days, He Luan continued to visit the shop as usual. At first, Han Hanyue still went to the shop, but eventually stopped showing up altogether. He Luan persisted for another two weeks without seeing her and decided it was time to change his strategy. 0

For the next three months, he did not appear at all. During this time, Han Hanyue's relationship with Fu Hongyi became increasingly delicate; sometimes their gazes would meet for less than a second before they both quickly looked away. 0

This subtle relationship continued until He Luan reappeared. Seizing the moment when Fu Hongyi went to the restroom, he abducted Han Hanyue. 0

The car sped away quickly. 0

Inside the car, Han Hanyue pounded on the window desperately, "Let me out!" 0

He Luan gripped her wrist tightly and said, "Yueyue, do you know how long I've been looking for you?" 0

Crying and trembling uncontrollably, Han Hanyue pleaded, "Don't touch me!" 0

She struggled violently against him, but his strength was overwhelming; she felt as though her wrist might break. 0

"Will you listen? Come back with me and we can start over. I will change; I will fix everything I did wrong before." 0

"What are you saying? I don't understand!" Han Hanyue continued to fight back. 0

"You don’t understand? Do I need to tear your clothes off for you to get it? You have a mole right here on your chest," He Luan said as he held her chin firmly, his tone suggestive. 0

Han Hanyue felt as if she had fallen into an ice cave. She stopped struggling and asked, "What do you want?" 0

"I want you to admit it with your own mouth that you are Han Hanyue," He Luan's face twisted with a sickly obsession. 0

Seeing her silent, he tightened his grip on her chin. "Speak!" 0

Han Hanyue closed her eyes for a moment, and when she opened them again, a sense of despair washed over her. "I am. So, are you happy now?" 0

He Luan flinched slightly at her words. He released her and pulled her into a tight embrace. "My dear, I finally found you. Shall we start over?" 0

He held her for a while, but the woman before him showed no emotion at all. 0

"He Luan, you look so pitiful like this," Han Hanyue mocked. "In this lifetime, we can never be together. I curse you to hell." 0

Her voice was cold as she looked at him with deep resentment. Their relationship had begun with his meticulous design; at first, he showered her with affection, but later he grew indifferent. 0

She couldn't bear the stark contrast and agreed to be with him. However, as time went on, he became increasingly adept at manipulating her emotions. She eventually realized that he didn't truly care for her; he merely enjoyed the feeling of controlling her. 0

Under his suppression, her edges were worn down until she felt like a mere shell of herself. 0

He Luan watched her indifferent demeanor and leaned in to kiss her, but Han Hanyue struggled violently and finally shouted, "He Luan, don't force me to die in front of you!" 0

Years ago, she had already died once; she was not afraid anymore. Rather than continue entangled with him, she would rather end it all herself. 0

The word "death" pierced He Luan's heart deeply; these years had been tormenting since her departure. It was only the faintest glimmer of hope that kept him going until now. He knew she could do it. 0

Feeling somewhat defeated, He Luan let go of her just as he was about to speak when their car was suddenly hit from behind. 0

Fu Hongyi had been tracking Han Hanyue's location on his phone and was horrified when he discovered where she was. He drove after them with urgency. 0

His eyes were bloodshot as he gripped the steering wheel tightly, veins bulging in his hands, his heart racing as if it would leap out of his throat. All he could do was focus on the little red dot on his phone screen and pressed the accelerator to the floor. 0

He Luan glanced back and said, "Your husband is coming to save you." 0

Han Hanyue looked back at him defiantly. "If you dare to harm a single hair on him, I will make sure you suffer!" 0

He Luan gazed obsessively at Han Hanyue's face; at that moment, her eyes were filled with deep concern, glistening with unshed tears as if she might cry. Yet he had never seen such emotion in her eyes before—only disdain. 0

"Han Hanyue, won't you consider me?" He Luan asked again, a casual smile playing on his lips. 0

"Get lost!" Han Hanyue retorted, not even bothering to spare him a glance. 0

Suddenly, the car came to a screeching halt. The driver shouted, "He Zong, their car is right in front of us." 0

"Crash into it!" He Luan commanded. 0

Hearing those words, Han Hanyue went wild. She turned to open the door, but He Luan quickly grabbed her arm. "Are you crazy?" 0

Ignoring He Luan's words, Han Hanyue summoned all her strength to break free. As the door swung open, He Luan shouted at the driver, "Stop the car!" 0

Han Hanyue jumped out of the vehicle without a second thought. She didn’t want to spend another moment with this scum. 0

He Luan pushed the door open but didn’t have time to help her before Fu Hongyi kicked him aside. 0

The two bodyguards who had come with He Luan immediately engaged Fu Hongyi in a fight. Having trained in street fighting, Fu Hongyi easily handled these amateurs. After knocking one bodyguard unconscious, he turned and landed a punch on He Luan. 0

He Luan retaliated, and both exchanged fierce blows. Twenty minutes later, He Luan lay on the ground, panting and bruised. 0

Fu Hongyi had also taken a hit to his chest but noticed that He Luan was running out of steam. He approached, intending to finish him off with a kick. 0

"Leave him be," Han Hanyue interjected. "Let him live; I don’t want you to go to jail because of me." 0

Watching the two of them in their intimate struggle, He Luan chuckled. Lu Xiaoqi had warned him back then, but he hadn’t listened. Little did he know he would truly lose her. 0

On the way back, Fu Hongyi called the police and contacted the chief in Yujiang City to ensure they kept an eye on He Luan. 0

Han Hanyue was too preoccupied to care about what would happen to him; all she could think about was his injuries. "Are you hurt?" 0

Fu Hongyi reassured her while driving, "I’m fine; it’s just a minor injury." 0

Seeing his profile, she could no longer hold back her tears and turned away to cry softly. 0

Halfway through their journey, Fu Hongyi noticed her distress and pulled over. "Why are you crying?" he asked gently. 0

Han Hanyue's tears flowed more freely as she confessed, "I’m sorry; I almost got you killed." 0

"I’ll tell Grandpa when we get back and ask him to send you back to Teikyo. I’m sorry for being so selfish." Today, she had put his life at risk. 0

He was only thirty-two years old with a bright future ahead of him, while she selfishly dragged him into her troubles and made him her protector. 0

Without her, he wouldn’t have faced such danger. 0

Seeing her cry so heartbreakingly, he gently lifted his hand to wipe away her tears. "What if I said I’m willing?" 0

"Willing for what?" Han Hanyue was still lost in her sorrow and couldn’t process his words at first. 0

"I would do anything for you; I’m more than willing." 0

Han Hanyue was stunned, staring blankly at him, forgetting to even shed a tear. 0

"Why?" she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper. 0

Fu Hongyi knew that once he spoke, their relationship would never return to what it once was. Yet, seeing her guilt-ridden expression, he felt compelled to say it. 0

"I love you, Miss." 0

His gaze was filled with tenderness. Was "I love you" a sufficient reason? 0

He had come to the Han family when he was very young. Initially, he had been bullied by a group of people, and she had stood up for him. She would even share her snacks with him. 0

As time passed, she went through her mother's divorce, feeling abandoned by everyone. They schemed against each other for shares in the company, fighting tooth and nail. 0

From that moment on, she changed; she became sharp-tongued and defensive, erecting walls around herself. Those who tried to get close to her often faced dire consequences. 0

He had observed that despite everything, she still treated Han Lao with respect. 0

Thus, he relied on his solid skills and became one of Han Lao's subordinates. No matter how domineering she was, she would always behave in front of Han Lao. 0

And he could never bring himself to hate her; all he felt was an overwhelming desire to protect her. 0

Sometimes he wondered if he became capable enough to shower her with love, would she be willing to return to her innocent and carefree self? 0

Han Hanyue was taken aback; once she regained her senses, she found his lips and kissed him. 0

Fu Hongyi caught her kiss and deepened it after two seconds. 0

Much later, he finally received her response: "Fu Hongyi, I love you too." 0

At the age of thirty-two, he had finally waited for his girl. And just as he promised, he would give her endless love—so much that there would be no room left in her heart for any other emotions. 0

(Written quite well; I never expected to create a supporting male character.) 0
(I hope you all are satisfied with this story.) 0
