At this point, Rao Jie turned to look at Wu Family Parents and Wu Xin, saying, "Shall we take the photos together?"
Wu Rong stared at Rao Jie in a bit of confusion.
Wu Xin couldn't help but laugh, "I feel like that's something my brother would say. Jie Jie, have you been influenced by him?"
The Wu Family Parents could see through it all; they knew that Rao Jie understood that Wu Rong wasn't good at these things. His personality was quite unique, so she didn't want to force him into doing something he wasn't comfortable with.
Mother Wu couldn't help but chime in, "Child, you don't have to indulge him too much; it will spoil him. We're here to support you!"
Rao Jie shyly smiled and replied, "It's really okay; I don't need anything special, just having the wedding photos is enough."
Deep down, she wanted to take wedding photos with Wu Rong; it would surely make her very happy. Other ceremonial aspects were not as important to her compared to Wu Rong's feelings.
Wu Rong couldn't help but speak up, "Actually, I can..."
Rao Jie shook Wu Rong's hand and said, "You want me to be happy, and I want you to be happy too. If I really need something, I will definitely tell you. You said we can't keep anything from each other because we're husband and wife, right?"
There was no helping it; Rao Jie just couldn’t help but want to pamper him.
The Wu Family was genuinely delighted that Wu Rong had found such a wonderful partner.
In the end, they unanimously decided not to hold a wedding ceremony but instead go for a family photo shoot together. Although Wu Rong didn't like taking photos, this arrangement was slightly more acceptable for him.
Before the scheduled photo shoot day, someone came over to measure everyone's sizes. Rao Jie thought they were just going to a photography studio or some beautiful scenic spot for the shoot.
However, Wu Rong had prepared much more than she expected.
All the outfits were custom-made. The Wu Family Parents were in this line of work, so finding someone to make clothes on short notice was quite easy.
Both Rao Jie and Wu Rong had two sets of outfits: one traditional Chinese style and one Western style. When they received the clothes, it was clear that they were quite expensive.
They planned to shoot in two locations: one was their home—the place where they first met and spent the most time together. The other location was Yun Cheng University, which was naturally picturesque and also where Rao Jie and Wu Rong had spent considerable time together. This location had been approved by the principal beforehand, so there were no issues.
Once everything was planned out for the day of the shoot, Wei Qian, Ye Ming, and Zhan Ruoyang all arrived. They could be considered Wu Rong and Rao Jie's best friends and naturally wanted to join in on the fun.
They started at home.
In what used to be Wu Xin's room, Wu Xin, Mother Wu, and Wei Qian surrounded Rao Jie as she changed outfits and got her makeup done, constantly giving suggestions to the stylist with even more excitement than Rao Jie herself.
Meanwhile, those waiting outside had been there for quite some time and finally couldn't resist knocking on the door.
"Are we ready? The groom can hardly wait," Wu Xin exclaimed excitedly as he rushed to the door. "Let my brother be the first to come in and see his bride!"
The crowd outside immediately burst into laughter.
When the door opened, it was indeed Wu Rong who stepped in first. He was wearing a modified traditional Chinese groom's outfit, predominantly in bright red and gold. Rao Jie had never seen Wu Rong in such vibrant colors before; it was quite refreshing. With Wu Rong's handsome looks, he pulled off the outfit with a unique charm.
Initially, Wu Rong had been quite disdainful of the bright colors, but upon seeing Rao Jie in her matching Phoenix Crown and Red Dress, he felt much more at ease. The once-dreaded red and gold now seemed to enhance her beauty, reminiscent of the stunning figures from ancient paintings, making Wu Rong's heart flutter.
