"Is this how we play him?" 0

In the darkness, Tan Ming looked at Yan Qing. Tan Ming's eyes were particularly sharp; even in the dim light, he could roughly see Yan Qing's expression. 0

"Yeah." Yan Qing nodded slightly. 0

"I am the Messenger," Tan Ming whispered to him. "As long as we kill the murderer, this system will end. We only have fifteen days." 0

"Oh." 0

Yan Qing thought about how all Messengers knew three key clues about the murderer and felt a bit uneasy. 0

If the Red Card only reacted after eating, then it wasn't surprising that Tan Ming awakened as the Wolf Messenger. 0

"Let's just stay here for now," Yan Qing thought nervously, fearing that if he left this place after the meal time, he might transform into a wolf. 0

"Sounds good." Tan Ming also felt that this place was relatively safe for the time being. 0

The two of them sat cross-legged on the ground, leaning against the shelves, and then closed their eyes. Yan Qing was afraid he would oversleep, so before drifting off, he quickly set an alarm on his wristband for four hours later; it was currently one forty AM. 0

Tan Ming closed his eyes—not to sleep but to remain vigilant of their surroundings. 0

Before long, he heard Yan Qing's shallow breathing. 0

He thought to himself that Yan Qing was quite carefree to be able to sleep in such an environment. 0

Just then, Yan Qing's head slowly drooped as he leaned against the shelf, and suddenly jolted awake. 0

Noticing that Yan Qing had woken up, Tan Ming immediately closed his eyes. 0

Yan Qing rubbed his nose and then continued to doze off. 0

At five forty, the alarm vibrated on time. Yan Qing woke up after it rang twice. 0

The first thing he did was turn off the alarm. 0

Then he glanced over at Tan Ming. 0

Tan Ming was leaning against the shelf, his long legs sprawled out, looking peaceful in his sleep. 0

Yan Qing waited for two minutes; seeing that Tan Ming was still asleep, he quietly tiptoed over to a nearby shelf, grabbed a pile of vacuum-sealed meat, and found a spot further away to sit down and start eating heartily. 0

After filling himself up, he stealthily returned to their resting place. Tan Ming was still asleep, so he quietly moved the trash left over from last night’s meal to another location. 0

What he didn't know was that just as he sat down and fell asleep, Tan Ming had opened his eyes. 0

Tan Ming gazed at his face, lost in thought. 0

After two hours of sleep, he was awakened by Tan Ming. 0

"Yan Qing, it's dawn!" 0

Yan Qing glanced outside; the horizon was a dim yellow. The sun, like a shy young girl, hid behind the clouds, a massive red orb hanging low in the sky, almost touching the earth's line, while the sky was shrouded in various strange colors. 0

The people hiding in the supermarket began to wake up one after another. Some were looking for something to eat, while others stood with their heads tilted, staring at the bizarre sky outside. 0

At that moment, a young man jumped up excitedly. "Oh my gosh! Finally no classes! Everything in the supermarket is free to eat—this is so thrilling!" 0

Someone immediately rolled their eyes and scoffed coldly, "Thrilling? What nonsense! Our lives are hanging by a thread." Yan Qing and Tan Ming both turned to look at the exuberant young man; he was hard to miss with his bright yellow hair. 0

The yellow-haired guy dashed out excitedly. 0

"Hey, another one heading to death," someone sighed. 0

Yan Qing and Tan Ming stood up and casually grabbed some items from the shelves. Yan Qing had already eaten earlier but worried that Tan Ming might become suspicious, so he ate a little more. 0

Tan Ming picked up a bag of bread but kept his gaze fixed on the scattered trash on the floor, seemingly deep in thought. 0

Yan Qing chose a pack of dried fish from one of the shelves and suddenly turned around to see someone—it was one of his roommates. Just as he was about to call out his roommate's name, the guy quickly avoided his gaze and grabbed several packs of beef before sprinting away as if deliberately trying to hide from him. 0

Yan Qing found it strange and suddenly remembered what was mentioned in Killer Clue: dormitory, male, hunger. 0

That guy, He Zhengwei, was avoiding him—could it be that he was also... 0

Oh my gosh, wait a minute—there's more than one killer? 0

Yan Qing's expression darkened instantly. 0

"Shall we go take a look?" Tan Ming said while raising an eyebrow at Yan Qing. 0

They couldn't keep hiding in the supermarket like this. 0

"Yeah," Yan Qing nodded in agreement. 0
