Yan Qing felt a tightness in his throat.
Was it He Zhengwei?
He saw He Zhengwei wipe the tears from his face, declaring, "The murderer is me; my identity is that of a traveler!"

The crowd was puzzled.
Tan Ming's expression hardened; the specific identity must not be revealed actively!
His gaze was fixed on He Zhengwei.
A minute passed, and the entire campus remained unchanged.
He Zhengwei was bewildered. "Isn't it me?"
Tan Ming shook his head.
According to logic, once the identity of the murderer was exposed, the system would terminate, yet there was no reaction at all!
Could it be...
As this thought crossed his mind, He Zhengwei's body lifted off the ground, engulfed in red flames.
"System detected violation; disciplinary action initiated!"
Ah! The expression on He Zhengwei's face twisted in pain, his eyes filled with disbelief. Even as he turned to ashes, he couldn't accept that he was not the murderer!
After he vanished, a Red Card fell to the ground, landing with the numbered side up, prominently displaying a club symbol.
Yan Qing gasped and silently closed his eyes.
If it wasn't He Zhengwei, then who could it be? The dormitory was a mixed room with three people; Yan Qing was certain that the murderer existed between him and He Zhengwei because their other roommate was not at school!
Now that He Zhengwei was dead, the murderer...
No, he couldn't doubt himself; wasn't He Zhengwei just a victim of his own suspicions that led him to his demise?
Yan Qing forced himself to suppress the turmoil within. The expressions of several others varied greatly. The students appeared indifferent, yet their eyes betrayed a hint of desolation. Some secretly thought that if He Zhengwei were the murderer, it would be a relief, as it could end this terrifying system once and for all.
However, after witnessing various gruesome deaths last night, they had long since become familiar with death. Yet, watching a living person turn to nothing but dust in an instant still filled them with dread, even as they secretly felt fortunate that it was not themselves who had perished.
Once their emotions had settled somewhat, one student suggested, "Since the murderer is hiding among the officials, if we expose all of them, wouldn't that eliminate the system?"
As soon as he finished speaking, the square fell into an eerie silence. Tan Ming cast a scrutinizing glance at the student who had spoken. Feeling the weight of everyone's gaze upon him, the student grew increasingly uneasy; his voice diminished to a whisper. "I didn’t say anything wrong... There are so many officials, and how many of us ordinary students are there? Isn’t it worth sacrificing a few lives to save the majority?"
Tan Ming scoffed coldly. "It may seem worth it, but does that mean the officials deserve to die?"
"What other better solution is there?"
"With each passing minute, we face greater danger. If this drags on any longer, our entire school will be wiped out!"
