Tan Ming stepped out of the surveillance room, his expression a complex mix of emotions, with his brows tightly furrowed. The strange behavior and relaxed demeanor of Huang kept replaying in his mind, leaving him utterly perplexed. He realized that the situation might be far more complicated than they had initially imagined, and the death of their classmate became increasingly enigmatic. For some reason, he felt that Huang was not a murderer. 0

Returning to the hall, Yan Qing was engaged in conversation with someone. The individual appeared to be in his twenties, slender in build, wearing a neat white lab coat and a pair of black-rimmed glasses. The eyes behind the lenses conveyed a hint of youthfulness and restraint. 0

Yan Qing noticed Tan Ming and immediately approached him, asking, "Did you find anything?" 0

Tan Ming shook his head; most of the surveillance footage was damaged. He decided not to elaborate on this to the other person. 0

"Oh," Yan Qing replied softly, a trace of disappointment flickering across his face. 0

"Who are you looking for?" the young man asked curiously. 0

Yan Qing introduced him, "This is Xiao Wang Yi, a doctor from the Wolf Messenger Identity. Since messengers cannot disclose their identities, I’ll explain on his behalf." 0

"Are you the one who sent out the distress signal?" Tan Ming asked as he scrutinized Xiao Wang Yi. 0

Xiao Wang Yi adjusted his glasses somewhat awkwardly and offered a shy smile. "Um, I’m still not very skilled at this. I meant to share my location but accidentally sent out a distress signal instead." 0

"Share your location?" Tan Ming frowned. 0

"Yes," Xiao Wang Yi nodded. 0

Yan Qing interjected to clarify, "He just started working at the School Hospital yesterday morning, so he’s not familiar with the campus yet." 0

Having spent over twenty minutes in the surveillance room, Tan Ming had also gathered that Yan Qing had been talking to Xiao Wang Yi for some time, giving him a general understanding of the other man's situation. He recalled that there had been recruitment at the School Hospital; since yesterday was Monday, it meant that Xiao Wang Yi had only been at school for one day, which explained why he was lost. 0

"Where do you need to go? We can take you there," Tan Ming offered. 0

"The square, right? Isn’t everyone at the square?" Xiao Wang Yi replied. 0

Xiao Wang Yi had a very amiable appearance; he looked quite young—around twenty-four—and his black-rimmed glasses added an air of maturity to his demeanor. 0

"Alright," Tan Ming agreed. 0

Tan Ming and Yan Qing were walking with Xiao Wang Yi towards the square. 0

On the way, Tan Ming asked, "Which department are you from, Xiao Wang Yi?" 0

"The ophthalmology department," Xiao Wang Yi replied patiently. 0

"How many people are left in your department?" Tan Ming continued his inquiry. 0

"Only me now; otherwise, I wouldn't be lost," Xiao Wang Yi said with a wry smile, shaking his head. 0

After they reached the square, they headed towards the Administrative Building. 0

At that moment, it was just the three of them. Tan Ming turned to Yan Qing and asked how he had met Xiao Wang Yi. 0

"I came down the side stairs of the teaching building and just ran into him," Yan Qing recounted as he reminisced. 0

Tan Ming appeared thoughtful, his brows slightly furrowed, and a strange glint in his eyes. 0

"What's wrong?" Yan Qing asked, tilting his head in confusion as he looked at Tan Ming. 0

"I find it a bit strange," Tan Ming said slowly. 0

"Strange about what?" Yan Qing pressed for clarification. 0

"Is there something wrong with Xiao Wang Yi?" 0

Yan Qing thought back to his meeting and conversation with Xiao Wang Yi but couldn't recall anything unusual. 0

"I'm wondering why he was in the teaching building. If he was lost, why didn't he initiate location sharing while at the hospital?" Tan Ming mused aloud, slowing his pace as he spoke. 0
