Xu Le was one of those who liked that girl, and at this moment, seeing Tan Ming, he couldn't help but feel a wave of nostalgia for his lost love. 0

"Take care," Tan Ming said, patting Xu Le's shoulder in a gesture of consolation. His voice was low and gentle, filled with comfort. 0

Xu Le's shout echoed loudly, as if it could burst through the air, yet not a single tear fell from his dry eyes. He wiped his face with the back of his hand, but there wasn't even a splash of water. 0

"Class monitor, who is this pretty boy?" Zhang Yan tilted his head and asked Yan Qing, curiosity shining in his eyes. It was only then that they noticed Tan Ming had come with Yan Qing. 0

Upon hearing himself called a pretty boy, Yan Qing couldn't hold back. "Who are you calling a pretty boy? Do you not know how rude that is?" 0

Zhang Yan laughed, a sound filled with disdain. "Oh, not happy about it? Just look at your arms; they're as thin as sticks! You barely have any meat on you—what else would you be if not a pretty boy?" 0

The group of athletes glanced at Yan Qing, their gazes shifting uncomfortably. 0

In truth, Yan Qing was quite handsome; his beauty was not soft like that of a woman but had a unique charm. With porcelain-white skin, deep and beautiful eyes, a straight nose, and thin lips tinged with pink, he had a sharp chin that hit all the aesthetic points. 0

Besides his looks, his physique also sparked imagination. Occasionally, he could be sharp-tongued; his legs and arms were as thick as the old banyan tree at the village entrance—who knew how many people he'd scare off at night? 0

"Hey, you sure know how to curse," Xu Le stepped forward boldly, as if he intended to swallow Yan Qing whole. 0

Seeing their strong physiques, Yan Qing thought to himself that if it came to blows, he would definitely be at a disadvantage. So he took a step back and retreated behind Tan Ming, poking him in the back with his finger. "Aren't you going to do something about them bullying me since you're their class monitor?" 0

Hearing this, Xu Le sneered. "Oh? What’s wrong? Can’t handle it?" 0

"Alright, let’s go inside," Tan Ming interjected, stopping the impending conflict. 0

Xu Le pointed at Yan Qing and said to him, "You should thank our class monitor; otherwise today would have been your chance to spar with us." With that, several of them worked together to lift the large box from the ground and huffed towards the dining hall. 0

Watching them enter, Yan Qing turned to Tan Ming and asked, "Is everyone in your sports team like that?" 0

"Just ignore them," Tan Ming replied nonchalantly. 0

They then walked into the restaurant. Inside, a long line of people twisted and turned, waiting patiently. At the front of the line were Fan Xiaonan and Xiao Wang Yi, who were methodically organizing those who had not filled out their information. 0

Zhang Liu and Shen Jianghuan huddled together, their expressions serious as they discussed something intently. Li Jianping was busy counting the mountains of rice, flour, oil, meat, and vegetables piled on the floor alongside a group of chefs. It was clear he was not accustomed to such tasks, as beads of sweat formed on his forehead. 0

The tables in the restaurant had been moved to a designated area, arranged closely together with hardly any gaps in between. At that moment, everyone was squeezed onto the chairs—some worried about the impending danger, others trembling in fear for their safety, and still others silently shedding tears as they missed their families. 0

Yan Qing glanced around, taking in the diverse faces and myriad expressions of humanity. 0
