"Stay here and watch, I'll go find someone with Yan Qing," Tan Ming said. He was looking for a secluded spot to confront Qi Qiuluo. Zhang Liu seemed to have guessed his intention and nodded in agreement. 0

Tan Ming and Yan Qing searched along the path to the restroom but found no sign of Qi Qiuluo. The North Courtyard Building Dormitory was particularly close; just a few steps ahead was the entrance. 0

"Could he be in the dormitory?" Yan Qing asked, glancing at the building. 0

Tan Ming paused for a moment. "Let's go take a look." 0

The two made their way to the North Courtyard Ten Building. The dormitory was completely covered by thick vines, with long tendrils hanging down from the roof. They climbed the stairs. 0

The hallway of the dormitory was eerily quiet. A layer of dust covered the floor, and apart from their footsteps, there were no other marks. 0

"Qi Qiuluo shouldn't be in the dormitory," Yan Qing remarked as they reached the third floor. 0

"Since we're here, we might as well check it out," Tan Ming suggested impulsively. 0

They ascended to the floor, found a dorm room, and pushed the door open. The floor was littered with shattered pieces of something, and as they looked up, they noticed a large pinkish-white lizard motionless on the Number Two Bed by the door. Its massive body took up almost the entire bed. 0

"This lizard looks like it mutated from a pet kept by a student," Tan Ming observed. 0

"This dormitory isn't any different from others," Yan Qing commented. "The layout of the dorms in this school is all pretty much the same, except for their orientations." 0

"Let’s go," Tan Ming said, losing interest. 0

As they stepped out, Tan Ming casually closed the door behind him but then glanced back and stopped. 0

"What's wrong?" Yan Qing asked. 0

Tan Ming pointed at a piece of paper taped to the door. It read: Performance Department Class Three Dormitory Residents: Qi Qiuluo, Zhao Peng, Jiang Li, Liu Tao. 0

Tan Ming pressed his hand against the three characters of the performance department and glanced again at the name Jiang Li. Qi Qiuluo had mentioned that he was from the directing major! 0

With that thought, Tan Ming opened the door and entered, heading straight for Number Two's desk. Qi Qiuluo's dormitory bed number was Number Two. The bed number corresponded to the desk number. 0

Tan Ming rummaged through the desk and found a pair of earrings in the drawer. He gripped the earrings tightly, his knuckles turning white with rage. He felt furious at being played by Qi Qiuluo! Now he understood why Qi Qiuluo had reacted so strongly to the words "play" and "trick." 0

Play? Trick? What was going on? 0

Tan Ming picked up the earrings; they were magnetic earrings that could be worn without ear holes! Qi Qiuluo had deceived them; he was the same person as that dead Huang Men Ji Mi Fan! 0

Ah! 0

Yan Qing was astonished but felt something was off. The corpse in Huang Men Ji Mi Fan had disappeared. But how could Qi Qiuluo have survived when he had been so close to death at that time? 0

Tan Ming suddenly recalled that during the restaurant fire, Qi Qiuluo had also seemed completely dead, only to come back to life later. 0

Qi Qiuluo... 0

He then remembered that in the teaching building, when Qi Qiuluo had tried to save someone, that person ended up dying right in front of him, leaving Qi Qiuluo with a look of shock on his face. 0

Although Tan Ming had suspected that Qi Qiuluo might be hiding something, he never imagined it would be so deep or that he could disguise himself so well. Each time he narrowly escaped being discovered, he always found a way to brush it off. Just like during the restaurant fire when he had already seemed dead but casually said he hadn't died completely (temporary shock), and no one questioned it. 0

Then there was that incident in the teaching building where Qi Qiuluo's attempt to save someone ended up harming them instead. He claimed he was wronged; the truth must be... 0

Tan Ming realized he needed to forcefully interrogate Qi Qiuluo about what he knew. Otherwise, they would always be one step away from the truth. 0

Only by finding Qi Qiuluo and presenting evidence before him would he finally reveal what really happened, Yan Qing said. 0

Tan Ming nodded in agreement. 0

The two of them descended from the dormitory building and retraced their steps. On their way, they encountered two people sent by Zhang Liu, who informed them that someone had seen Qi Qiuluo heading towards Nan Yao Field. 0

Yan Qing and Tan Ming made their way towards Nan Yao Field. 0

In the Nan Yao Field, Qi Qiuluo carefully cradled a skeleton as he made his way towards the swing set in the eastern part of Nanshang. The area around Nanshang was surrounded by a lush circle of roses. The stems of the roses were armed with sharp, backward-facing thorns, each one serrated and measuring about four centimeters in length. Clusters of brilliant red blooms adorned each rose stem. 0

As Qi Qiuluo ventured deeper, the rose vines grew thicker. He cautiously held the skeleton close, gently pushing aside the thorny vines with his free hand. He protected the skeleton tightly, fearful that a thorn might pierce it. However, his hands and face bore scratches from the thorns. 0

Inside his jacket, two voices cried out loudly, but he ignored them. Upon reaching the swing set, Qi Qiuluo carefully placed the skeleton onto one of the swing seats and took out some wet wipes to clean it meticulously. After wiping it down, he rolled up the used wipes into a long strip and pulled out two Xiao Ren from his pocket. He bound one Xiao Ren with the wipes, tightening them until it was completely wrapped up, leaving it gasping for breath, its face turning a deep shade of purple. 0

Qi Qiuluo had no intention of letting Xiao Ren go easily; instead, he turned to the other Xiao Ren and asked for a favor. Ling Xingyuan pointed at him in anger, his lips trembling with rage—was this how one asked for help? Yet as he looked at Qi Qiuluo, he couldn't find the right words to curse him. 0

Seeing Ling Xingyuan's indifference, Qi Qiuluo wrapped Liu Xuanzhu entirely in the wipes, sealing his mouth shut and swinging him around on his finger several times. Liu Xuanzhu struggled to breathe and felt himself upside down, on the verge of passing out. 0

"Stop! Stop!" Liu Xuanzhu shouted. 0

Given their small size, he didn't know if they could be suffocated by a mere wipe, but it was certainly an effective means of tormenting him! Qi Qiuluo pulled Liu Xuanzhu's head out from the wrap and pinched his stomach with patience as he negotiated with Ling Xingyuan. "Think it over; I have all the time in the world." 0

Ling Xingyuan was taken aback by how twisted this person was. "You!" he seethed, wishing he could bite into Qi Qiuluo's flesh. What a piece of work—he never expected Qi Qiuluo to be so dark-hearted! 0

Yet seeing him so calm only fueled Ling Xingyuan's anger further as he focused on Liu Xuanzhu's pale face. His expression hardened with concern. "Dai Zi!" 0

Ling Xingyuan clenched his fists and then relaxed them again, asking Liu Xuanzhu to let Dai Zi go. "What do you want me to help with?" 0

"No! Don't agree to him!" Liu Xuanzhu struggled desperately. 0
