At that moment, the dormitory door was pushed open forcefully. Wei Yu stormed in, her face pale and her eyes filled with a mix of depression and hatred. Upon seeing Wang Xiaoyan, she rushed forward and grabbed her hair, tearing at it. "You liar!"
Wei Yu's face was ashen as she questioned sharply, "You said you would help me keep it a secret! Why did you post it on the confession wall?"
Wang Xiaoyan was momentarily taken aback, not understanding what she was talking about.
"Are you still pretending? Do you think I don't know it was you? You're the only one who knew I was pregnant! A Hao knows too; who else could it be?" Wei Yu's eyes were red with anger.
"I—"
"You made it public, so why did you say the child isn't A Hao's? Why did you say I cheated?"
Wei Yu was in unbearable pain. She released Wang Xiaoyan and collapsed to the ground, hugging her head and crying bitterly.
She cried for a long time.
The dormitory was empty except for the two of them. Wang Xiaoyan stood silently to the side, watching her, her lips moving as if she wanted to say something but swallowed her words instead.
After a while, with swollen eyes, Wei Yu ran out of the dormitory.
However, an hour later, someone anxiously knocked on the dormitory door.
Wang Xiaoyan opened the door.
It was a girl, her face showing panic as she trembled and said, "Wei Yu jumped off the building!"
Wang Xiaoyan felt darkness envelop her; she nearly fainted.
The newcomer continued, saying that many people online were criticizing Wei Yu. She added that they claimed anyone could die to prove their innocence, but everyone would act to gain sympathy. Some were watching for entertainment, saying if Wei Yu really jumped, they would believe her.
Who would have thought that Wei Yu actually jumped!
"What happened to her?" Wang Xiaoyan clutched her clothes tightly, her voice trembling.
The girl replied, "She's dead."
Wei Yu had jumped from the sixth floor, headfirst. After she fell, her brain matter had splattered out.
Wang Xiaoyan pressed her lips tightly together as silent tears rolled down her cheeks.
After that person left, Wang Xiaoyan could no longer contain her emotions. She burst into tears, sobbing as she choked out, "It wasn't me! It really wasn't me!" Regret washed over her; she should have told her sooner that it wasn't her who posted on the confession wall. It wasn't her!
Time flowed once more.
In the dormitory, there were only two people: Cheng Xin and Wang Xiaoyan. Cheng Xin sat at the desk playing a game, while Wang Xiaoyan lay on the bed, her gaze vacant.
Suddenly, she bit her finger and paused for a moment before drawing the Crimson Cross on the wall, repeating the action over and over again. The Crimson Cross on the wall was a vivid red, strikingly bright, but unfortunately obscured by her presence, preventing Cheng Xin from seeing it.
Wang Xiaoyan looked at her creation, her lips twitching slightly in a numb motion.
Knock knock! The door sounded.
Cheng Xin heard the knocking and glanced at Wang Xiaoyan, who lay on the bed as if she hadn't heard anything. She went to open the door.
Cheng Xin was not surprised by the visitor's arrival. She politely nodded to the newcomer and invited her in. It was Li Yan, who had come unexpectedly.
