"Xu Jing, your dress looks beautiful today!" 0

Upon hearing that name, He Bin's ears perked up instantly. He quickly lowered his voice and said to Yan Kongyue, "My cousin is named Xu Jing!" 0

"Speak louder!" 0

He Bin then realized, in his nervousness, he had forgotten that he was a ghost and no one could hear him. His anxiety shifted to a sense of gloom. 0

"The girl named Xu Jing bought it two days ago," she said, slightly lifting her chin. 0

"Did you go shopping at the mall?" 0

"Yes, my senior from university came back from abroad and took me out for dinner, then we went shopping. I bought three dresses in one go!" 0

As Xu Jing spoke, several people passed by Yan Kongyue. He Bin clearly saw a blush creep onto Xu Jing's face as she smiled shyly. 0

He had known Xu Jing for over three years; he had seen that smile countless times. What was there left to misunderstand? 0

Watching the group enter the nearby building, Yan Kongyue patted her backpack and said, "Alright, you should be resigned to this now!" 0

He Bin remained silent, but Yan Kongyue could sense the resentment emanating from him. 0

"If you want to cry, just do it in the bottle!" 0

"Oh!" 0

At this point, there was no other way. He Bin had committed suicide; while Xu Jing had merely broken a promise. Yan Kongyue couldn't force Xu Jing to take her own life for He Bin—that would be akin to murder. 0

Though she bore no moral obligation and didn't have to face the consequences, she was unwilling to push someone into suicide. As for Xu Jing, whether she had deliberately lured He Bin into taking his life or regretted it afterward was something only the parties involved knew. 0

However, there was an aura of Gui Qi surrounding that girl, and Yan Kongyue could sense that it did not originate from He Bin. 0

After leaving the building for a while, she finally heard the sound of crying coming from the bottle. She wandered aimlessly down the street, occasionally giving her backpack a light pat as a way of companionship for the first person she met after arriving in this world. 0

At the intersection, just as Yan Kongyue was about to ask He Bin which way to go, she noticed a crowd gathered on one side of the road. There were also a dozen police cars parked with their lights flashing. 0

Yan Kongyue couldn't miss such a scene; without thinking twice, she dashed over. 0

The commotion centered around a Japanese restaurant where police had set up a perimeter. The restaurant and the surrounding area were cordoned off, and onlookers were whispering among themselves—some claimed there had been a death inside, others said someone had been dismembered, and some even mentioned that the victim was from Winter Country. 0

Without much effort, Yan Kongyue slipped through the police line. A faint scent of blood wafted past her nose. She had heard plenty of information along the way, but those were likely just speculations; Yan Kongyue sensed it wasn't that simple. 0

A police officer responsible for maintaining order noticed a young girl eager to slip inside and quickly approached her. "Hey kiddo, step back!" 0

Oh! Yan Kongyue reluctantly pretended to step back two paces. 0

However, the police officer only felt a blur in front of him, as if something had flashed by. By the time he focused his eyes, a figure had already darted past the entrance of the Japanese Restaurant. 0
