"Wow, how romantic!" Han Jincheng whispered, her eyes sparkling like stars.
"Yeah, it's quite romantic," Mu Yunze replied dismissively, his tone laced with indifference. His mind was far from the film; he found the plot absurd.
He silently scoffed at the storyline: Is this plot for real? Where in reality do you find such a domineering CEO? Always flying on private jets and living in seaside villas, throwing money around as if it were nothing. And the female lead? She's just too naive and sweet, crying over every little thing—what a nuisance.
Halfway through the movie, the plot reached its climax. The female lead had a huge argument with the male lead over a misunderstanding and stormed off in anger. Alone in the pouring rain, tears streaming down her face, she cried pitifully, her sorrow accentuated by the sad background music that filled the theater with a desolate atmosphere.
Sitting next to Mu Yunze, Han Jincheng was deeply affected by the scene. Her eyes began to redden, tears welling up until she could no longer hold back her sobs.
Her soft cries echoed in the quiet cinema, making them all the more pronounced.
Mu Yunze panicked; he hated seeing girls cry, especially beautiful ones like Han Jincheng. He fumbled in his pocket for a pack of tissues, pulled one out, and handed it to her. "Jincheng, don’t cry. It’s just a movie; it’s all fake."
Han Jincheng took the tissue and gently wiped away her tears, choking on her words as she said, "But I feel so sad. Why can’t they be together? They love each other so much."
Mu Yunze sighed, thinking to himself: This girl is too emotional; she’s really getting into it. He awkwardly tried to comfort her. "It’s just a movie; they create conflicts and misunderstandings to make the audience cry. Don’t take it seriously. In real life, love isn’t that complicated; there aren’t that many misunderstandings or missed opportunities."
Han Jincheng looked up at him, her tear-filled eyes full of confusion. "Mu Yunze, do you really think love is that complicated?"
Mu Yunze was momentarily speechless; what did he know about love? He had never been in a relationship and his understanding of love was limited to movies and novels.
All he knew was that at that moment, Han Jincheng's gaze made him feel flustered; he couldn’t even look her in the eye. Her eyes were clear and transparent, as if they could see into the depths of his soul.
The dim light of the cinema seemed to cast a hazy glow over Han Jincheng's tear-streaked face. She looked so pitiful that Mu Yunze’s heart raced even faster. He opened his mouth but didn’t know what to say; he could only stare at her blankly.
Suddenly, Han Jincheng leaned closer, her breath quickening and carrying a hint of sweetness that brushed against Mu Yunze's face. Before he could react, she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer.
In the next moment, her soft lips touched his—cool yet incredibly warm. Han Jincheng pressed her lips gently against his in a tentative kiss that felt as light as a feather but was undeniably firm in its insistence.
Mu Yunze's mind went blank with a buzzing sensation. He forgot to breathe, forgot to think; it felt as if the world around him faded away until only this soft touch remained—the faint scent of her and this exhilarating intimacy.
This sudden kiss caught him off guard; he sat there stiffly like a statue.
A tingling sensation surged from his lips throughout his body—something he had never experienced before: both foreign and intoxicating. Instinctively, he responded to her kiss, clumsily mimicking her movements while feeling an unprecedented thrill.
In the dim light of the cinema and amidst the emotional scenes on screen, his heart raced faster and faster while his breathing grew more frantic.
The two kissed passionately, lost in each other as an air of intimacy enveloped them.
Han Jincheng let out a soft moan as she pressed herself closer to Mu Yunze as if wanting to melt into his embrace.
The movie continued playing on screen with couples enacting their romantic scenes, but Mu Yunze had completely lost interest in watching it. All he could see was Han Jincheng; all he could think about was Han Jincheng; his world revolved solely around Han Jincheng.
With Han Jincheng teasing him like this, Mu Yunze could no longer focus on anything else but their shared moment.
Her breathing became rapid, and she let out soft moans, her body trembling slightly.
Suddenly, her body shuddered, and she gasped. She clung tightly to Mu Yunze's neck and whispered in his ear, "Let's do it."
Mu Yunze had long lost his rationality.
In the dimly lit cinema, his hands roamed over Han Jincheng's body with abandon.
Her breathing quickened, and she felt increasingly hot. Finally, unable to withstand the desires that surged within them before the movie ended, they hurriedly left the cinema and rushed to a nearby hotel.
Once at the hotel, they couldn't wait to enter the room. Mu Yunze pushed Han Jincheng onto the bed and pressed down on her.
Han Jincheng did not resist; she closed her eyes and allowed Mu Yunze to take control.
The room was filled with their heavy breaths.
As the morning sun filtered through the sheer curtains, it cast a disordered light over the rumpled sheets. Mu Yunze stretched lazily; the wildness of last night left him feeling a bit tired but mostly satisfied. Beside him, Han Jincheng was still asleep, her long eyelashes casting soft shadows on her fair cheeks. The corners of her mouth curled slightly upwards, as if she were still savoring the sweetness of the previous night.
