This discovery sparked a bold idea in Mu Yunze's mind. He looked at the two of them and thought to himself: What if someone falls for two people at the same time? He casually asked, though his gaze was fixed intently on Han Jincheng and Chu Mohan, observing their reactions.
Han Jincheng paused for a moment before smiling and saying, "Well, you definitely have to choose the one you like more! You can't have your cake and eat it too!"
Chu Mohan furrowed her brow slightly, pondering for a moment before replying, "I think if you like someone, you should be devoted to them. If you find yourself liking two people at the same time, maybe it's not true love after all."
Their answers surprised Mu Yunze and further solidified his thoughts. A crazy plan began to take shape in his mind.
"I'm full now; I'm going for a walk by the lake," Mu Yunze said as he stood up, his tone laced with a hint of barely noticeable tension.
"Wait for me! I'm coming too!" Han Jincheng quickly followed him.
Chu Mohan also stood up and said, "I want to go see as well."
The three of them walked side by side along the lakeside, sunlight pouring down on them, creating a beautiful scene.
The gentle breeze rustled the willow branches by the lake, and sunlight danced on the water's surface, making for a picturesque view. Yet, it couldn't calm the turmoil within Mu Yunze. Taking a deep breath, he decided it was time to lay everything bare. "Jincheng, Chu Mohan, there's something I want to tell you," he said, his voice trembling slightly, his gaze darting around as he avoided looking directly at the two girls.
Han Jincheng stopped in her tracks and turned to Mu Yunze with a bright smile. "What is it? You're being all mysterious!"
Chu Mohan also halted and looked at him quietly, her eyes filled with curiosity.
"I... I like both of you," Mu Yunze's voice was barely above a whisper but exploded like a bomb on the calm surface of the lake.
The air instantly froze. Han Jincheng's smile faltered; she stared at Mu Yunze in disbelief, shock filling her eyes. "What did you say? You like both of us? Are you joking?"
Chu Mohan was also taken aback; she hadn’t expected Mu Yunze to say such a thing and found herself at a loss for words.
"I'm sorry; I know this is absurd. I don't want to deceive you," Mu Yunze mustered his courage to meet Han Jincheng's gaze. "Jincheng, I've been really happy during our time together. You're lively and cheerful, like a little sun that always brings me joy."
"At the same time, I'm also drawn to Chu Mohan's gentleness and kindness. She’s like a serene moon that brings me comfort and peace."
"Who do you think I am? You seem so honest yet act like this! We've been together for so long, and now you're telling me you also like Chu Mohan? What do you take me for?" Han Jincheng's face turned crimson with anger as her voice rose several octaves. She felt like a fool being toyed with by Mu Yunze.
