"Jincheng, I’m not playing with your feelings. I truly like you, and I also have feelings for Chu Mohan. I know I’m being selfish; I don’t want to hide my feelings anymore."
Chu Mohan remained silent, quietly listening to their conversation, her heart a whirlwind of emotions. She had feelings for Mu Yunze but never expected things to turn out this way. She didn’t want to hurt Han Jincheng, nor did she want to find herself in an awkward situation.
"Mu Yunze, do you really think you’re some kind of prize? That we both should revolve around you?" Han Jincheng snapped, her anger turning into a bitter laugh. She pointed a finger at Mu Yunze and shouted, "What gives you the right to like both of us at the same time? Do you think you’re some kind of CEO? Wake up! You’re just a scumbag!"
Tears streamed down Han Jincheng’s face as she turned and ran away, leaving Mu Yunze and Chu Mohan standing in the tense silence that followed.
Chu Mohan cast a deep glance at Mu Yunze and said calmly, "Mu Yunze, I hope you can think carefully about what you really want. Love is not a game; don’t hurt others so easily." With that, she too turned and walked away.
Watching the two girls leave, Mu Yunze felt as if his heart were being torn apart. He hadn’t anticipated things would spiral out of control like this; he thought that being honest would solve everything, but instead, he had hurt both girls. He sank to the ground, cradling his head in his hands, engulfed in deep self-reproach and pain.
Sitting despondently on a bench by the lake, Mu Yunze covered his face with his hands, muffled sobs escaping through his fingers. He felt like a clown who had foolishly believed he could win the affection of two girls simultaneously, only to end up empty-handed.
At that moment, a figure approached and sat down beside him. It was Class Flower. Dressed in a light blue dress with her long hair cascading over her shoulders, she looked exceptionally pure and charming.
"Are you okay?" Class Flower asked softly, concern lacing her voice.
Mu Yunze lifted his head to look at her, his heart filled with mixed emotions. He had once been captivated by Class Flower’s beauty and had felt manipulated by her whims. Now, feeling exhausted and disillusioned with love, he found it hard to respond.
"Not really," Mu Yunze replied with a bitter smile. "I messed everything up."
Class Flower sighed gently and patted his shoulder. "I know; I saw everything."
Mu Yunze looked at her in surprise. "You saw everything?"
She nodded, a complex emotion flickering in her eyes. "You confessed to both Han Jincheng and Chu Mohan, and then they both left you."
Feeling utterly humiliated, Mu Yunze wished he could disappear into the ground.
"In fact, I’ve known for a long time that you liked Han Jincheng and Chu Mohan," Class Flower continued. "I just didn’t expect you to be foolish enough to confess to them both at the same time."
Mu Yunze fell silent; he knew he had acted foolishly. At that moment, love had clouded his judgment completely.
"Now you see it clearly?" Class Flower asked. "Love isn’t a game; it shouldn’t be played with carelessly."
"I see it now," Mu Yunze replied in a low voice filled with regret.
Looking at him in his pitiful state stirred a flicker of pity within Class Flower. Once upon a time, she had treated Mu Yunze like a toy, playing with his feelings without care. Now seeing him in such pain made her realize how cruel her past actions had been.
After hesitating for a moment, Class Flower finally spoke up. "Actually... I like you too."
