Mu Yunze suddenly lifted his head, looking at her in disbelief. "What did you say?"
The Class Flower's cheeks flushed slightly, her gaze evasive. "I said, I like you."
Mu Yunze was stunned; he never expected the Class Flower to say such a thing. He had once pursued her desperately, only to be rejected time and again. After being abandoned by two other girls, the sudden confession from the Class Flower left him utterly confused.
"I know you might not believe me," the Class Flower said, noticing his bewildered expression. "In the past, I did toy with your feelings, and I'm sorry for that. But seeing how much you suffered because of Han Jincheng and Chu Mohan made me realize that I actually care about you."
"Why?" Mu Yunze still couldn't believe it. "Weren't you always treating me like a toy?"
The Class Flower gave a bitter smile. "Back then, I didn't understand love; I thought it was just a game. But seeing your sincerity towards them made me understand what true love really is."
"So, are you serious now?" Mu Yunze asked tentatively.
The Class Flower nodded firmly. "I am serious."
However, Mu Yunze hesitated; he was afraid of being toyed with again by the Class Flower.
"I regret what happened in the past," she interrupted him. "I just want to cherish you now." As she spoke, she boldly took Mu Yunze's hand. "Give me a chance, okay?"
Mu Yunze felt her soft little hand enveloping his, a warm current surged through his heart as he looked into her sincere eyes.
But then, the Class Flower's soft hand felt like some kind of repulsive creature to him. He abruptly shook it off, as if electrocuted. Looking at her filled with disgust, the infatuation he once felt had long since vanished, replaced by deep revulsion.
"Give me a chance?" Mu Yunze echoed her words with sarcasm in his tone. "What makes you think I would give you another chance? Have you forgotten that you aborted Ye Jingtai's child? Have you forgotten how you toyed with my feelings?"
The Class Flower's face instantly turned pale. She instinctively wanted to explain but found herself at a loss for words.
"What? Nothing to say?" Mu Yunze pressed on relentlessly. "How could you get pregnant by Ye Jingtai while professing your love for me? Class Flower, you're truly disgusting."
Each word struck like a sharp knife into the Class Flower's heart. She clutched her chest, feeling as if breathing had become difficult.
"I..." The Class Flower trembled as she tried to defend herself but didn't know what to say.
"Don't say anything." Mu Yunze impatiently interrupted her. "I don't want to hear any more of your explanations. I've seen enough women like you. Do you think just because you're pretty and have good grades, you can do whatever you want? Do you think it's fun to toy with other people's feelings?"
His tone grew colder and sharper, as if he were trying to see right through her.
Tears streamed down the Class Flower's face uncontrollably as she choked out, "I was wrong; I really was wrong. I didn't understand before; I..."
