Mu Yunze felt as if he had been stripped bare in public, a mix of shame and anger swirling within him, nearly consuming him whole. He glared fiercely at Chen Yichen, his clenched fists cracking ominously. 0

Veins throbbed at his temples as a rush of blood surged to his head, almost pushing him to the brink of losing control. His trembling fists longed to smash into Chen Yichen's smug face. Damn it, where did this kid get his confidence? What was wrong with him being close to Han Jincheng? How did it concern Chen Yichen? And what about his relationship with Chu Mohan? Who gave him the right to point fingers? 0

“Chen Yichen, watch your mouth!” Mu Yunze gritted his teeth. “Who I associate with is none of your business! Who do you think you are?” 0

Chen Yichen was taken aback by Mu Yunze's sudden outburst but quickly regained his composure, defiantly retorting, “I can't stand people like you! Acting all innocent while doing God knows what behind the scenes!” 0

Chu Mohan took a deep breath, her chest rising and falling slightly. Her gentle eyes now flickered with anger. “Enough!” she snapped, her voice low yet commanding. She abruptly shook off Chen Yichen's hand, recoiling from him as if he were contagious. Casting a disdainful glance at both of them, she turned and walked away, her skirt trailing behind her like a sharp arc in the air. 0

Chen Yichen stood frozen, watching Chu Mohan's retreating figure as if doused with cold water. He hadn't anticipated her reaction would be so intense, nor did he expect her to leave directly, leaving him and Mu Yunze awkwardly standing there. 0

He had intended to showcase his sense of justice in front of Chu Mohan while taking a jab at Mu Yunze, but instead, he had made things worse and only fueled Chu Mohan's disdain. 0

Mu Yunze felt a surge of satisfaction watching Chen Yichen's embarrassment. Taking a deep breath, he struggled to suppress the smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth and coldly said to Chen Yichen, “Are you satisfied now? Chu Mohan has left; you can get lost.” 0

Chen Yichen’s face turned pale with rage as he pointed an accusing finger at Mu Yunze. “Don’t get cocky! I will expose your true colors sooner or later!” With that, he shot Mu Yunze one last glare before turning on his heel and chasing after Chu Mohan. 0

The classroom was enveloped in the unique quietness of early morning, interrupted only by the occasional rustle of turning pages. Mu Yunze had arrived early and was idly spinning a pen in his fingers, still preoccupied with the confrontation with Chen Yichen. The look on Chu Mohan’s face when she left lingered uneasily in his mind. 0

The door to the classroom creaked open gently, revealing Han Jincheng standing in the doorway. She walked heavily, as if each step drained her of all her energy. The morning light streamed through the window onto her figure but failed to dispel the gloom that surrounded her. 0

She looked utterly worn out; her complexion was as pale as a blank sheet of paper, devoid of any color. The vibrant spark that usually lit up her eyes was now dimmed, shrouded in a gray mist. Dark circles under her eyes spread like deep shadows, silently narrating the fatigue of a sleepless night. 0

Upon seeing Mu Yunze, she paused for a moment, her steps faltering. A complex emotion flickered across her gaze—surprise mingled with disappointment and an indescribable pain. 0

That brief second felt like an eternity. Then she silently withdrew her gaze and quietly walked past Mu Yunze towards her seat at the back without saying a word. 0

Mu Yunze's heart tightened painfully as if gripped by an invisible hand; breathing became difficult. Seeing Han Jincheng in such a haggard state pained him deeply. 0
