Han Jincheng smiled slyly and leaned closer to him, whispering in his ear, "Just working hard isn't enough; finding a good partner is important too. I tell you, Chu Mohan is a great choice—she's the learning committee member, has strong logical thinking, and it seems like you two have a pretty good rapport." She deliberately elongated her last syllable and cast a meaningful glance at Mu Yunze. 0

A jolt ran through Mu Yunze as memories of that crazy summer with Chu Mohan flooded back. That night, the moonlight was like water, and they had tangled together in the quiet night, their breaths merging and their body temperatures exchanging. Since then, their busy academic lives had led to less contact. 0

Thinking of this made Mu Yunze blush slightly. He stole a glance at Han Jincheng, only to find her looking at him with a teasing smile, which made him feel even more flustered. 0

"Ahem, I think Jincheng is right; Chu Mohan is indeed a good choice." Mu Yunze tried hard to maintain a calm demeanor, concealing the turmoil within. 0

"Then hurry up and contact her, silly!" Han Jincheng playfully pushed him. 0

As soon as Han Jincheng's words fell, Mu Yunze eagerly took out his phone. The screen's light illuminated his slightly tense face. He quickly scrolled through his contacts, his fingers dancing across the screen as he searched for Chu Mohan's name. 0

Once he found it, he couldn't help but take a deep breath, as if trying to exhale all the tension from his chest. His fingertips trembled slightly, but he ultimately pressed down on that familiar number. 0

The dialing tone echoed clearly in the quiet room, each beep striking against Mu Yunze's heart. Every second felt infinitely stretched; those brief moments of waiting felt like an eternity. 0

Sweat beads formed in his palms as he gripped the phone tightly. 0

Finally, the call connected. Chu Mohan's gentle voice came through the receiver: "Hello, Mu Yunze?" This familiar voice was like a refreshing spring breeze that instantly soothed his anxious heart. 0

"Chu Mohan, it's me," Mu Yunze's voice trembled slightly. He paused to clear his throat before continuing, "I want to invite you to join me for the Debate Competition." He hesitated again before nervously adding, "What do you think?" His heart raced as if it were about to leap out of his chest. 0

There was silence on the other end for a few seconds, and Mu Yunze's heart hung in suspense. Those few seconds felt like being caught between ice and fire—both hopeful and fearful. He could even hear his own nervous breathing. 0

"Sure!" Chu Mohan's soft laughter came through the receiver like a gentle breeze that instantly dispelled all of Mu Yunze's tension and unease. "I was just thinking about reaching out to you too. Let's work hard together!" Her tone was light and cheerful, filled with encouragement and anticipation. 0

Hearing Chu Mohan agree made Mu Yunze's heart finally relax; the tension in his shoulders eased as well. A radiant smile broke across his face as he sighed in relief. "That's great! Thank you, Chu Mohan!" His voice brimmed with joy and gratitude. 0

He couldn't wait to hang up the phone and turned excitedly to Han Jincheng, his eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "She agreed! We're teaming up for the Debate Competition!" He waved his arms in excitement as if he could already see the dawn of victory ahead. 0

Han Jincheng shared in his joy, her face lighting up with a brilliant smile. "I knew she would agree!" she said confidently. "Now you have even more confidence, right?" 0

Mu Yunze nodded vigorously, filled with anticipation and excitement. He looked at Han Jincheng again, his eyes full of gratitude and a hint of unspoken desire. 0
