Han Jincheng and Chu Mohan were not feeling well either; both had pale faces and unsteady steps.
"Let's go grab something to eat," Han Jincheng said weakly.
"Sounds good," Chu Mohan nodded in agreement.
The three of them supported each other as they made their way to a nearby breakfast shop. The owner, a middle-aged woman, couldn't help but laugh when she saw their condition. "Oh, you young folks! How much did you drink? Graduation is a time for celebration, but don't overdo it; it's bad for your health!"
Mu Yunze forced a smile but remained silent. Han Jincheng and Chu Mohan also looked down, unable to meet the owner's gaze.
They ordered several breakfast dishes and devoured them hungrily. Perhaps due to the effects of alcohol, they found the breakfast particularly delicious that day.
After finishing their meal, they bid farewell to the owner and headed back to their shared apartment. The three of them stumbled into their rented place and collapsed onto their beds. When Mu Yunze woke up, it was already afternoon. The headache from his hangover made him groan, and the empty space beside him reminded him of last night's debauchery.
He rubbed his temples and got up to the living room, where he found Han Jincheng and Chu Mohan sitting in front of the computer, discussing something intently.
"Awake? Still have a headache?" Han Jincheng asked as he handed Mu Yunze a cup of honey water, concern etched on his face.
Mu Yunze took the cup and drank it all in one go, feeling much better. "What are you guys doing?"
"We're looking at some business plans," Chu Mohan said, pointing at the computer screen. "What are your plans after graduation?"
Chu Mohan's question struck Mu Yunze like a bolt of lightning, cutting through the fog in his mind. He froze, his gaze wandering as thoughts flitted around like a kite with a broken string, drifting aimlessly in the air. Plans after graduation? He had never seriously considered this question before.
During his senior year in college, he felt like a headless fly, muddling through each day without purpose. The future was just a vague concept to him, as distant as stars on the horizon.
To him, the sound of the graduation ceremony bells felt less like celebratory trumpets and more like a grim death knell, cruelly pulling him from his illusory ivory tower and casting him into the cold reality of life. The future was no longer an unreachable fantasy but an imminent challenge.
He opened his mouth but found his throat dry and unable to produce any sound. A thought flashed through his mind like fireworks bursting in the night sky, instantly lighting up his eyes. "I want to start a company." This idea came so suddenly that even he was taken aback; his heart raced as if it wanted to leap out of his chest.
Han Jincheng and Chu Mohan exchanged glances and both smiled. Han Jincheng's smile was as radiant as sunlight, while Chu Mohan's was gentle like moonlight; together, their contrasting smiles illuminated Mu Yunze's heart.
"Great!" Han Jincheng immediately supported him with enthusiasm, her tone filled with encouragement and confidence. "We’re behind you!" She gently patted Mu Yunze on the shoulder as if to give him strength. "I'll cover the startup funds!" Her tone was light yet resolute, showcasing her unwavering support for Mu Yunze.
"I'll handle technical support!" Chu Mohan chimed in excitedly, her bright eyes sparkling with intelligence as if she could already envision their future company thriving.
