Su Yulin, a person who graduated from the computer science department of a university and chose to focus on writing at home. However, her family does not approve of her career choice and insists that she go out every day to find a traditional job to support herself.
"Why do you stay at home all day?"
"Creating."
"Why haven't you gone out to find a job to support yourself?"
"I already have a job."
"We can't understand what you're writing, so what's the use of it?"
"Who can achieve success from the beginning of writing?"
"You stay at home every day and rely on us. How many years can you rely on us for?"
"So what do you want me to do? Can't I do what I like? Do I have to live according to your wishes?" Su Yulin said, slamming the door shut and locking it.
That night, the wind and rain were raging, with lightning and thunder. Su Yulin sat in front of her computer and opened a game that she had independently developed during her university days. She gazed quietly at the characters on the game screen, feeling an inexplicable desire - she hoped to become a character in the game, so that she could escape from reality and not have to bear so much pressure and restraint.
In the instant when she clicked the mouse, lightning struck outside the window. Su Yulin felt dizzy and then passed out.
Child's mother: "Child's father, what's wrong with our daughter? Is there something going on?"
Father: "What? Child's father? Daughter? What's going on?"
Child's father: "Don't worry, she'll be fine. Second Uncle has been watching over her in the field. She's probably just tired."
os: Second Uncle? Who is Second Uncle? In the field? What's going on here?
second aunt: "Hey, why did she suddenly faint?"
Second Uncle: "How would I know? I was just sitting there cracking sunflower seeds, and she suddenly went silent. She hadn't been working for long either."
OS: Where am I? I can't even open my eyes? I can't move my hands either?
Mother: Doctor, how is my daughter? Why hasn't she woken up yet?
Doctor: Don't worry, she's just weak from overwork. Let her rest for a while, she should wake up soon.
Child's father: Okay, thank you, doctor. I'll walk you out.
Doctor: These days, let her rest well and avoid heavy work.
Child's father: Okay, okay, thank you, doctor.
OS: Weak body? Overwork? Doctor? Fainted?
When I opened my eyes, I found myself lying on a strange bed, and everything around me became blurry, as if shrouded in a thin mist.
I tried to sit up, but my body felt unusually heavy, as if being pressed down by a heavy object.
I struggled to open my eyes, trying to see everything around me, only to find a familiar yet unfamiliar person sitting by the bed. Her brows were slightly furrowed, her face full of worry and concern. Perhaps my movement had been too loud, waking her up. She sat up straight, "My dear, you're awake! How are you feeling? Is there anything uncomfortable?" The woman said excitedly, tears glistening in her eyes.
I looked at her, shifted my body back, and gradually the scene before fainting appeared in my mind.
I immediately opened my eyes and carefully looked around the environment. How could it be exactly the same as the scene in my game? The person in front of me was also exactly the same as the person in the game.
OS: No! What's going on? Transmigrated into a book! No, transmigrated into a game! What's happening!
I widened my eyes, looking at everything in front of me in disbelief. This is simply unbelievable.
I tried to calm down and carefully recall what happened before fainting, but my mind was in a complete mess.
"Daughter, what's wrong with you? Why aren't you speaking?" The woman, seeing me silent, asked even more anxiously.
I took a deep breath, (os: Did she just call me "daughter"? Should I call her "mother"?) and tried to make my voice sound calmer: "Mother... I'm fine, just a little dizzy from getting up. I..."
The woman interrupted me, gently patting my back: "It's okay, it's okay. The doctor said you fainted due to physical weakness and overwork. Now you need to rest well, your health is the most important."
I nodded, but my heart was full of doubt. What is going on? Did I really travel to the game world? If so, how do I get back?
I looked around and found that this room is exactly the same as my home in the game, even the details are identical. I reached out and touched the sheets, and the familiar touch made me even more certain that this is not a dream. "Mom, I want to be alone for a while," I said softly, with a hint of trembling in my voice.
The woman seemed to notice my unease, but she didn't ask further. She just nodded gently and said, "Okay, you rest first. I'll go cook some porridge for you to eat later."
I watched the woman leave the room, then lay back on the bed, closed my eyes, and started to think.
I must find a way to return to the real world, or what should I do.
At that moment, I suddenly remembered a detail - just before passing out, as I clicked the mouse, a bolt of lightning struck outside the window. Perhaps, this was the key to my time travel. With a sudden determination, I struggled to sit up, then walked to the window and gazed at the starry sky outside. I took a deep breath and then forcefully tapped the table, as if mimicking the action of clicking the mouse.
OS: This action is really silly!
Just then, a bolt of lightning suddenly tore through the sky, illuminating the entire room.
When I felt the light dimming, I slowly opened my eyes. What! It's still here! No way! Can't believe I can't really go back!
I stared with wide eyes at the room, which was still familiar yet unfamiliar, and my heart was filled with despair. The lightning did not bring me back to the real world as I had imagined; instead, it made me more certain that I was truly trapped in this game world. I stood up and tried to find some clues in the room. Perhaps there was some secret here that could guide me back to the real world.
I searched everywhere, but found nothing. Just then, I suddenly noticed something under the bed. I bent down, but only saw dust!
I stood up speechless, but accidentally hit my head on the bed frame. Just as I was about to curse, I felt like time had stopped.
The bed curtain, which was originally swaying in the wind, was now motionless. With a "drip" sound, a voice and a dialogue box appeared above my head!
Dialog Box: Hello, player! We have detected self-harming behavior from you! Please stop immediately! Otherwise, it will increase the time for you to return to the real world!
OS: What! This is still a game manager! No way! What do you mean! Increase the time to return to the real world! So, you mean I can still return to the real world!
Dialog Box: Hello, player! Nice to meet you! Please take care of me!
OS: What the heck!
Dialog Box: Hello player! We have equipped you with a game manual! Inside, there is a method to return to the real world! We wish you a pleasant time in the game world!
With a 'smack', a book fell to the ground. I walked over to pick up the manual and flipped open the first page.
It details the game's worldview (OS: Duh! I developed it! Do I not know the worldview?) plot, and missions. As I looked carefully, suddenly, I noticed a detail - on the last page of the manual, there is a description of "special events." "When players trigger special events in the game, they will have the opportunity to receive special rewards or unlock hidden plots. The triggering conditions for special events vary and require players to explore on their own."
My eyes lit up, perhaps this is the way for me to return to the real world.
