I pushed her away forcefully. "You're the real wretch!"
The Mother of the Mistress was so enraged that she spat blood. "You must take responsibility!"
I glanced at my mother-in-law. "Mom, do you support the mistress sleeping with my husband?"
Her expression stiffened. "I never said such a thing!"
Feigning surprise, I asked, "Then why did you agree to let the mistress live in our home?"
Her face changed, and she stammered, unable to respond.
She pulled out a stack of property deeds, bankbooks, and gold jewelry. Xia Jiahui and her mother stared wide-eyed.
My mother-in-law feigned generosity. "As long as you give birth to a son, all of this will be yours."
I smiled slightly and snatched the property deeds, bankbooks, and gold jewelry from her hands.
She froze for a few seconds before anxiously asking, "What are you going to do with those?"
I locked them in a small cabinet inside the room and stuffed the key into my clothing.
Outside, my mother-in-law pounded on the door furiously. "You filthy bitch, open the door!"
I shouted back, "Keep yelling! Louder!"
"Better call the police and have Your Husband arrested too."
"And while you're at it, check how many crimes Father-in-law has committed!"
Father-in-law's face turned red with anger.
"You dare!"
I scoffed. "What do I have to be afraid of?"
Father-in-law was furious. "I am your elder!"
I retorted, "Just because you're my elder gives you the right to break the law?"
Father-in-law immediately fell silent.
My mother-in-law was sweating nervously beside him.
I returned to the living room and sat down in front of Xia Jiahui.
Xia Jiahui's face turned pale. "Zhou Ya, what do you mean by that?"
I smiled slightly. "Xiao Xia, the child in your belly is now mine."
Xia Jiahui's expression changed. "What are you trying to do?"
Feigning innocence, I replied, "Of course, I'm here to take care of you and the baby."
Furious, Xia Jiahui shouted, "Zhou Ya, you wish!"
I pretended to be aggrieved. "Xiao Xia, why are you being so harsh? We're both women; can't we show a little understanding?"
Xia Jiahui was so angry she nearly spat blood. "Zhou Ya, don't get too smug!"
I dialed my husband's number. "Honey, Xiao Xia is having a son. From now on, she will be the mistress of our house."
Xia Jiahui nearly fainted from rage.
I quickly grabbed my bag and headed out.
Once at the bank, I deposited all the gold in my name.
After that, I made a trip to the notary office.
