She clenched her fists, silently resolving to carve out her own path and never rely on any man. In a fit of frustration, she swept the documents off the table, sending them crashing to the floor. She needed to vent, to find an outlet. Grabbing her phone, she dialed Lin Xiaoxuan's number. 0

"Xiaoxuan, come drink with me!" 0

"Xiaoxuan! Over here!" Fang Jing Shu called from a corner of the bar, surrounded by empty bottles. Her face was flushed, her eyes glazed over. Upon seeing Lin Xiaoxuan, she waved her arms as if grasping a lifeline. 0

Lin Xiaoxuan hurried over and snatched the bottle from Fang Jing Shu's hand. "Have you lost your mind? Drinking this much! What happened?" 0

Fang Jing Shu grabbed Lin Xiaoxuan's hand, tears streaming down her face. "Xiaoxuan, I was harassed by that bastard today!" She choked out the details about Wang Yanguang between sobs. 0

Lin Xiaoxuan's anger flared. "That old pervert! I've never liked him! How dare he lay a hand on you! Just wait; I’ll make him pay!" 0

Fang Jing Shu cried even harder. "Xiaoxuan, what should I do? Did I do something wrong? Why is he treating me like this?" 0

Lin Xiaoxuan pulled her into an embrace, gently patting her back. "Silly girl, you did nothing wrong; it's that bastard who's at fault! Don't worry, I won't let him get away with this! We’ll gather evidence and report him to the higher-ups!" 0

Fang Jing Shu looked up, hesitation flickering in her eyes. "But will this affect my job? I just got promoted; I don’t want to lose it." 0

Lin Xiaoxuan scoffed. "Your job? Is it worth sacrificing yourself for that? Don’t worry; even if you lose this job, I'll help you find a better one! That old pervert cannot go unpunished!" 0

Fang Jing Shu’s emotions began to stabilize as she wiped away her tears and took a deep swig of her drink. "Xiaoxuan, you’re right! I can’t be weak anymore! He has to pay for what he did!" 0

They shared a few more drinks, and Fang Jing Shu gradually became intoxicated, her words starting to slur. 0

"Xiaoxuan, what do you think Li Wenbo would do if he knew I was wronged?" 0

Lin Xiaoxuan sighed inwardly. "Li Wenbo? He probably forgot all about you by now. Running off with Dai Xinyi and using you as a shield at their wedding—does he really deserve your tears?" 0

"He might comfort you," Lin Xiaoxuan replied dismissively but thought to herself that it would be best if Li Wenbo never showed up again to disrupt Fang Jing Shu's life. 0

Fang Jing Shu laughed drunkenly. "Comfort? Would he? He probably just thinks I'm a hassle." 0

Lin Xiaoxuan supported Fang Jing Shu as they walked out of the bar. The cool breeze helped clear some of the fog from Fang Jing Shu's mind. She looked at the bustling street and suddenly exclaimed, "Xiaoxuan, let’s grab some late-night snacks! I want crawfish!" 0

Lin Xiaoxuan smiled helplessly. "Alright, let’s go get some crawfish." 0
