You are my Little Bear Biscuit.
In my youth, I secretly drew the smiling face of Shen Zhiyan, and he quietly wrote down my name.
As we grew up, he held my hand while I blushed and dared not look at him.
My name is Xiong Xiaonuan, such a warm name, all because of my neighbor Shen Zhiyan. Ever since kindergarten, I have been called "Xiong Dazhuang."
Hmph! Just because I eat a bit more and am a little rounder? Why does he get to give me such an ugly nickname?
Every time he called me that, I would snatch his Little Bear Biscuit, making sure he thought twice before calling me "Xiong Dazhuang" again.
Kindergarten was one thing, but unfortunately, I ended up in the same class as him in elementary school and middle school.
The nickname "Xiong Dazhuang" followed me into junior high.
After the high school entrance exam, I went out with my family to play. Whenever I saw a temple, I would pray, asking the heavens not to let us be in the same class in high school.
On the first day of high school, as soon as I entered the classroom, there sat Shen Zhiyan, who flashed me a grin and shouted, "Xiong Dazhuang!"
Great, my high school years would also be overshadowed by those three words.
Shen Zhiyan, this isn’t over!
I shot him a smile in return and countered with "Shen Dazui!"
The classmates around us burst into laughter at our exchange.
I rushed over and snatched his Little Bear Biscuit, stuffing it all into my mouth.
I was fuming inside. Hmph! I didn’t pray enough during the summer; no deity was looking out for me.
Sigh, I really didn’t want to be in the same class as him.
After school, I dashed outside without paying any attention to Shen Zhiyan calling after me with "Xiong Dazhuang."
He quickly caught up to me, panting as he grabbed my arm.
"Why are you running so fast? Is there a ghost chasing you?"
I replied irritably, "Yes, there is a ghost with a really big mouth chasing me; its name is Shen Zhiyan!"
Upon hearing this, he burst into laughter, his voice loud and unrestrained, drawing the attention of the classmates around us.
I shot him a glare, trying to shake off his hand, but he held on tightly, making it impossible for me to break free.
“Shen Zhiyan, can you not just grab other people's hands like that?” I was furious.
Seeing my anger, he quickly composed himself.
“Xiong Dazhuang, oh no, I mean Da Zhuang, please don’t be mad. I’m sorry! From now on, I won’t call you by that nickname anymore, okay?” He blushed and hurriedly released my hand.
Looking into his earnest eyes, I felt a flicker of uncertainty in my heart, but I still tried to sound tough.
“Who would believe you? You’re such a big mouth; you want everyone to know the nickname you gave me!”
“I won’t call you Xiong Dazhuang anymore; I’ll call you Little Bear instead, how about that?” Shen Zhiyan suggested.
I was taken aback; I hadn’t expected him to say that. Little Bear seemed a bit cuter than Xiong Dazhuang.
“I’ll give you all the Little Bear Biscuits from now on; is that alright?”
That was more acceptable, but I still didn’t want to compromise.
“No way! Please call me Xiong Xiaonuan!” I insisted.
That was my real name, and I had always hoped others would call me that.
“Alright then, Xiaonuan.”
I truly didn’t expect Shen Zhiyan to stop calling me Xiong Dazhuang. Could it be that my prayers at the temple had worked here?

“Nuannuan, Aunt Lu is here! She said she and Uncle Shen are on a business trip recently and want Zhi Yan to come over for dinner. I discussed it with Aunt Lu and thought you could bring breakfast for Zhi Yan to school since you’re in the same class; it’ll save time,” my mom said in a tone that suggested it was a discussion rather than an order.
I was snuggled up in bed reading a novel when my mom said this, and I immediately felt a surge of annoyance.
