"Little Bear, you can only be my Little Bear." Shen Zhiyan whispered in my ear.
Our breaths intertwined, my cheeks burned, and my heart raced uncontrollably.
I pouted, "Why are you like this, suddenly just..."
Before I could finish my sentence, my lips were pecked again.
Shen Zhiyan interrupted me, "Just kissing you. There will be plenty more kisses for a lifetime."
I felt a mix of anger and amusement, pretending to be mad as I turned my head away.
"And what about you? Can I kiss you?" Shen Zhiyan pressed on.
Hey, you've already kissed me! Isn't it a bit much to ask if I can kiss you too?
"Um, yes." I flashed a hint of embarrassment but answered his question firmly.
As soon as I finished speaking, he kissed me again.
This time the kiss was no longer tentative; it was assertive and impossible to refuse. His hands tightened around my waist as if he wanted to meld me into his body.
"Nuannuan, Zhi Yan, it's time for dinner." I heard my mother's voice.
We both jolted and instantly pulled apart.
Just as I was about to say something, my mother called out again from downstairs.
Shen Zhiyan took a deep breath to steady himself and then took my hand.
"Little Bear, don't be scared."
When we sat at the dining table with flushed faces, four pairs of eyes stared at us intently.
"Nuannuan, is it too hot in here? Why is your face so red?"
Aunt Lu looked at Shen Zhiyan and me with concern; we seemed a bit off.
"No, no, I just couldn't solve a math problem earlier and got anxious," I explained nervously, fearing they would notice something.
"Oh, let Zhi Yan help you analyze it; don’t worry," Uncle Shen said.
"Okay, got it," I replied obediently.
I turned my head and saw Shen Zhiyan looking at me, his face flushed even more.
After the the Shen Family finished the cake, they went home. I lay quietly on my bed, covering my face. Hmph! It's all Shen Zhiyan's fault.
"Xiao Xiong, are you asleep?" Shen Zhiyan messaged me.
"Not yet."
"Can you come downstairs?" he sent another message.
Downstairs? I turned to look out the window, and sure enough, Shen Zhiyan was standing at my front door.
I hurriedly slipped on my slippers and ran downstairs, grabbing a bag of trash on the way.
"Dad, Mom, I'm going to take out the trash!" I rushed out.
"Nuannuan, the trash isn't full yet," my mom's voice came from behind, but I couldn't afford to respond.
Once outside, Shen Zhiyan pulled me under an old tree at the corner. The moonlight poured down like water, bathing us in its glow.
He took out a delicate little box and opened it. Inside was a uniquely designed bear bracelet, featuring an adorable little bear with round, shiny black onyx eyes, holding a pink crystal in its paws.
"It's so beautiful!" I exclaimed.
"I knew you would like it. Nuannuan, you're just like my favorite Little Bear Biscuit," he said with a smile that lit up his face as he hugged me tightly.
What should I do? Shen Zhiyan's words were becoming more charming by the moment, making my cheeks heat up again and again.
"Nuannuan, have you decided which university you want to apply to?" Shen Zhiyan asked gently.
"I think Z University. What about you?" I pressed for clarity this time.
"I want to apply to the same university as you."
Dazed, I returned home, even dreaming of Shen Zhiyan's gentle face. The next day in class, I found a Little Bear Biscuit tucked inside the frame of my desk.
I looked up at Shen Zhiyan, wondering when this guy had secretly set it up. High school life was tense and busy, and amidst this atmosphere, Shen Zhiyan and I were secretly dating, making it feel like we were spies.
