They arrived at Chengxiang Restaurant shortly after. Nangong Zi'an, Ji Yuyi, and Li Erwu were sitting at a small stall next to Chengxiang Restaurant eating noodles. Li Erwu handed a tracking symbol to Song Wanqi and said, "Keep it close, wait for me."
Song Wanqi smiled, tucked the tracking symbol given by Li Erwu close to his chest, and said, "Alright, don't worry, nothing will happen." Then he turned and entered Chengxiang Restaurant.
Only after Song Wanqi entered did Li Erwu retract his gaze and said to the waiter, "Slice a pound of beef, light three incense sticks, and call me when it's ready."
"Alright! I'll serve you right away," the shop assistant replied.
Li Erwu furrowed his brows, lost in thought.
After entering the restaurant, Song Wanqi looked around and a waiter approached and asked, "Do you have a reservation?"
Song Wanqi nodded and asked, "Is there a man surnamed Duan here?"
The waiter smiled and said, "Ah, you're a friend of Master Duan. Please follow me upstairs." With that, the waiter led Song Wanqi to the second floor.
Following the waiter upstairs, Song Wanqi was directed to a private room at the end of the corridor. The waiter said, " Master Duan is in the private room at the end of the corridor. Please go ahead." Then the waiter went downstairs, leaving Song Wanqi to make her way to the room alone.
As soon as she reached the doorway, there was a crackling sound coming from the room. A woman rushed out of the room, coldly snorted at Song Wanqi standing at the door, and then went downstairs.
Song Wanqi paused, still in the motion of pushing the door, and gently pushed it open a few seconds later.
A man was lying on the bed in the room, half-dressed, with one arm propped up on the bed, looking at Song Wanqi with interest as she entered.
"Waiting for you all day, I thought you weren't coming." The person picked up a grape, rolled it in their hand, then put it in their mouth. They wrinkled their brow lightly and spat it out with a "pff" sound, pouting as if feeling wronged, "So sour."
Looking at this man with a somewhat affected and coquettish demeanor, Song Wanqi finally understood why so many girls liked him. His charm was so diverse that even Song Wanqi couldn't learn it in her whole life.
"Are you Master Duan Cheng'an?" Song Wanqi tentatively asked.
"Um." Duan Cheng'an didn't lift his head, and hummed in a nasal tone.
"I wonder where Miss Minister is now?" Song Wanqi didn't beat around the bush, and asked directly.
Duan Cheng'an remained silent. Unable to stand his unresponsive attitude, Song Wanqi took a few quick steps to stand in front of him and asked again, "Where is Miss Minister now?"
Who would have known that Duan Cheng'an would be so unyielding? He sat up slightly and asked Song Wanqi with a smile, "Hungry?" Song Wanqi was speechless. Duan Cheng'an then picked up a grape and fed it to Song Wanqi, saying, "If you're hungry, have some grapes."
Song Wanqi didn't eat anything all morning, and in the middle of the day, she was busy looking for Minister's daughter, who also hadn't eaten. At this moment, upon catching a whiff of the fragrance of grapes, she couldn't help but swallow her saliva.
"You just said these grapes were sour," Song Wanqi felt that Duan Cheng'an was being very nasty, clearly knowing that the grapes were sour and still giving them to her to eat.
