The moonlight streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows, and my blood began to boil. Luke Dunphy led me into the top-floor office and casually tossed a pillow my way. 0

"Hold onto this if you want to transform, just don’t dirty my carpet." 0

I clutched the pillow, gritting my teeth. "Where's the medicine?" 0

"This thing?" He toyed with a vial, his gaze cold. "Low-quality Inhibitor. Keep using it, and you’ll die." 0

"What does it matter to you?" I lunged to grab it, but he easily pinned me down on the sofa. 0

His long fingers gripped my chin, forcing me to meet his eyes. "What does it matter to me? Sonia Ramirez, do you think tonight is a coincidence?" 0

A chill ran down my spine. Could he have known all along...? "What do you want?" 0

"My girlfriend, of course. I need to arrange for you to join Imperial Court Group as soon as possible." 0

He released me and adjusted his cuffs. "Starting tomorrow, you'll be my personal assistant." 0

"I refuse!" 0

"Then I’ll report your true identity to the Wolf Hunter Association." 0

He elegantly sat down across from me. "Tell me, do you think they would be very interested?" 0

I clutched the pillow tightly. This man was nothing short of a demon. 0

"It's getting late," he glanced at his watch, a smirk playing at the corners of his lips. "In ten minutes, the moon will be fully risen. I’m looking forward to seeing..." 0

Before he could finish his sentence, a wave of pain struck me. I curled up into a ball as my nails began to sharpen. 0

Damn it, the symptoms of transformation were coming on too soon! 0

"Give me... the medicine..." 0

The man responded with a light chuckle, "Beg me." 0

"You..." My voice began to grow hoarse, and my eyes were already turning red. 0

Sweat rolled down like beads, and I struggled to lift my head. "Luke Dunphy, you will regret this..." 0

"Stubborn." He tossed aside the medicine bottle and pulled out a silver syringe. 0

"This one works better." Before I could resist, the cold needle pierced my skin. 0

Luke Dunphy held my waist with one hand while steadily pushing the drug with the other. 0

His breath enveloped me like a heavy blanket, carrying an irresistible force. 0

The sharp pain gradually subsided, and I leaned weakly against the sofa. 0

His fingers brushed against my sweaty forehead, the touch surprisingly gentle. 0

"Remember, from now on, your life is in my hands." 0

"Why..." I asked weakly, "Why me?" 0

He didn’t answer, turning away towards his desk. 0

In the moonlight, I saw a painting hanging on his desk. 0

It was a White Wolf running under the moonlight. 0

"Go back and pack your things," he said without looking back. "Tomorrow at eight in the morning, my driver will come to pick you up." 0

"What if I don’t come?" 0

Only then did he turn around, his gaze chilling enough to send shivers down my spine. "You can try." 0

I stumbled out of the office, still able to hear his deep laughter. 0

In that laughter lay emotions I couldn't comprehend. 0

By the time I exited the building, the moonlight was thick and heavy. 0

Looking up, the full moon was cold and bright, making my heart uneasy. 0

That night was destined to be sleepless. 0

What I didn't know was that in that office, Luke Dunphy stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, watching my departing figure. He caressed the painting and whispered, "I've finally found you..." 0

In the painting, the color of the White Wolf's eyes was exactly the same as mine. 0
