Lin Mo and Su Yuqing, guided by the Guardian Messenger, set off towards the cave guarded by the divine beast. The forest grew increasingly dense, enveloped in a heavy silence that felt as if even the air was bracing for an impending storm.
As they approached the cave, a strange aura began to permeate the air, alternating between searing heat like molten lava and biting cold akin to frost. The extreme temperatures made it difficult to adapt. Sweat beaded on Lin Mo and Su Yuqing's foreheads, only to be instantly frozen into icy droplets, their bodies trembling from the relentless shifts in temperature.
"This aura... the power of that divine beast must be terrifying," the Guardian Messenger said gravely, concern flickering in his eyes, but he also offered encouragement to Lin Mo and Su Yuqing.
Finally, they arrived at the entrance of the cave. It was shrouded in thick mist, its mouth vast and deep, faintly glowing with a mysterious light. The rocks surrounding the entrance were etched with strange runes that shimmered softly, as if recounting ancient tales.
"Remember, once inside the cave, do not touch anything lightly, and do not be deceived by the illusions of the divine beast," the Guardian Messenger cautioned.
Taking a deep breath, Lin Mo and Su Yuqing stepped into the cave. As soon as they entered, a powerful pressure hit them like a wall, making it hard to breathe. The interior of the cave was spacious yet dimly lit, with enormous crystals embedded in the walls that emitted an eerie glow, illuminating their surroundings.
Deep within the cave came a low rumble of a roar that echoed ominously, causing their eardrums to ache. As the roar grew closer, a massive divine beast slowly emerged. It towered like a mountain, its body covered in golden scales that glimmered with a metallic sheen. A pair of enormous horns adorned its head, wrapped in mysterious runes, while its eyes burned like flames radiating intense heat.
Upon spotting Lin Mo and Su Yuqing, a flash of anger crossed the beast's eyes. It opened its massive jaws and unleashed a torrent of searing flames. Lin Mo and Su Yuqing quickly dodged as the flames grazed their bodies, singeing their clothes.
"This divine beast is too powerful; we can't fight it head-on," Lin Mo shouted.
Su Yuqing nodded in agreement. She began to carefully observe the beast's movements and the surrounding environment, searching for any weaknesses. Meanwhile, Lin Mo focused his energy on harnessing his Time-Space Power, ready to respond to any attack from the beast.
The divine beast launched another assault, swinging its gigantic claws towards Lin Mo and Su Yuqing. Utilizing his Time-Space Power, Lin Mo made his body ethereal; the claws passed through him without causing harm.
At that moment, Su Yuqing noticed that the scales on the beast's abdomen were relatively thin and would briefly expose itself with each attack. She immediately relayed this discovery to Lin Mo.
Nodding in understanding, Lin Mo gathered all his strength and prepared for the next strike. When the beast swung its claws again, Lin Mo seized the opportunity and dashed towards its abdomen. Channeling his Time-Space Power into a shimmering blade of light in his hand, he thrust it fiercely into the beast's underbelly.
The divine beast let out a pained roar as it trembled violently; scales flew off its body. Seizing this chance, Lin Mo withdrew his blade and attacked again.
However, defeating the divine beast was not so simple. It roared furiously and unleashed a powerful wave of energy from its mouth—a torrent that surged towards Lin Mo and Su Yuqing.
They had no time to evade; struck by the energy wave, their bodies were sent flying like kites with severed strings before crashing heavily against the cave wall.
"Lin Mo!" Su Yuqing cried out as she struggled to rise and crawl towards him.
Lin Mo coughed up blood; his body had sustained severe injuries but his gaze remained resolute. He knew they could not give up—if they did, the Mysterious Organization's plot would succeed.
Struggling to stand up again, Lin Mo concentrated once more on harnessing his Time-Space Power. This time he felt an even stronger connection to time and space as power surged from within him.
The light from his forehead intensified as a vortex of time and space formed around him. He pushed this vortex towards the divine beast; it was caught within it and twisted violently.
Just when Lin Mo thought victory was near, the divine beast let out an enraged roar and broke free from the vortex's grasp. Its eyes blazed hotter than before as a golden aura enveloped its body—a manifestation of immense power.
"This is bad; the divine beast has entered a berserk state!" shouted the Guardian Messenger urgently.
The beast charged at Lin Mo and Su Yuqing again; its speed was faster than before and its strength even greater. Exhausted from their previous efforts, they closed their eyes in despair as they prepared for impact.
At that critical moment, the Guardian Messenger suddenly charged forward, holding the Pendant that Lin Mo had taken from the Black Panther. He chanted incantations as the Pendant emitted a dazzling light. The light collided with the Golden Light emanating from the divine beast, unleashing a tremendous energy.
The Guardian Messenger's body gradually became transparent in the glow, his voice echoing in the cave: "The power of this Pendant can temporarily bind it. You must hurry and get the key! I... I can't hold on much longer!"
Lin Mo and Su Yuqing felt a pang in their hearts, but they knew this was not the time for sorrow. They fought back their tears and ran deeper into the cave. At the end of the cave, they saw a key radiating with colorful light, floating in mid-air, surrounded by mysterious energy.
Cautiously, Lin Mo and Su Yuqing approached the key. Just as they were about to grasp it, a strong electric current surged from the key, knocking them back.
"This key has a self-defense mechanism," Su Yuqing said.
Lin Mo gazed at the key, suddenly recalling the symbols he had seen in the ruins and the content he had studied in ancient texts. He attempted to inject his Time-Space Power into the space surrounding the key using a special rhythm and frequency.
Miraculously, the electric current around the key gradually dissipated, allowing it to slowly fall into Lin Mo's hands. He gripped the key tightly, feeling a powerful force surging within him.
At that moment, a roar erupted from behind them; the divine beast was breaking free from the Pendant's restraints. It charged toward Lin Mo and Su Yuqing with fury in its eyes.
Quickly, Lin Mo and Su Yuqing took out three keys and inserted them into three slots at the cave entrance as instructed by the Guardian Messenger.
In an instant, a massive beam of light burst forth from the cave entrance, forming a gigantic energy barrier that kept the divine beast at bay. The beast slammed against the barrier in rage but could not break through.
As the light faded, a colossal time-space vortex appeared at the cave entrance, shimmering with colorful lights as if leading to another world.
"This is the passage to the Time Eye," Su Yuqing said.
Lin Mo and Su Yuqing looked at the time-space vortex with a mix of tension and anticipation. They knew that entering it would lead them to their final battle and be crucial for unraveling all mysteries. Yet they showed no signs of retreat; hand in hand, they resolutely stepped into the vortex.
Inside the time-space vortex, Lin Mo and Su Yuqing felt an unprecedented force pulling at them. Their bodies seemed to be tugged by countless forces simultaneously, their consciousness gradually blurring. But they held onto each other's hands tightly, driven by one belief: to thwart the Mysterious Organization's plot and lift the curse.
When they opened their eyes again, they found themselves in a strange space filled with twinkling stars and flowing lights, as if they were at the core of the universe. In the center of this space was a massive sphere radiating brilliant light; within that light flickered various scenes from different times and spaces—this was indeed the legendary Time Eye.
However, before they could observe closely, a familiar figure appeared before them. It was none other than the mastermind behind the Mysterious Organization—the mysterious figure who had lurked in darkness all along. He looked coldly at Lin Mo and Su Yuqing, his eyes filled with hatred and greed.
"You've finally arrived, Lin Mo. Today is your day of reckoning, and soon enough, Time Eye will belong to me!" The mysterious figure declared menacingly.
The final battle that would determine the fate of time and space was about to begin. Could Lin Mo and Su Yuqing defeat this enigmatic foe and protect Time Eye? How would they unravel their curse and save the world?
