In this strange time and space, Lin Mo and Su Yuqing were filled with confusion by the mysterious voice, yet it also ignited their fighting spirit. They cautiously explored this peculiar place, where everything around them exuded an air of mystery, as if every corner hid unknown secrets.
As they moved forward, they discovered that the laws of time and space here were in utter chaos. At times, time would suddenly accelerate, and the scenery around them would flash by like a fast-forwarded film; at other times, it would come to a sudden halt, leaving them feeling as if they were frozen in a still image. This chaotic time and space made their movements exceedingly difficult; each step had to be taken with utmost care, lest they fall into an irretrievable predicament.
During their exploration, they encountered a group of people dressed in strange garments. Their attire was unique and colorful, adorned with various mysterious patterns that were entirely different from any culture they knew. The people regarded Lin Mo and Su Yuqing with suspicion, surrounding them while wielding oddly shaped weapons, their eyes revealing hostility.
Lin Mo hurriedly assured them that they meant no harm and had accidentally arrived in this place, hoping to receive assistance. However, these individuals seemed unconvinced by his words, leading to a standoff. Just as the tension reached its peak, an elder stepped out from the crowd. His gaze was deep and wise as he scrutinized Lin Mo and Su Yuqing before gesturing for the others to lower their weapons.
The elder led Lin Mo and Su Yuqing to their settlement. The architecture here was bizarre; some structures appeared to be carved from massive crystals, radiating a dreamlike glow under the purple sky; others seemed to have naturally grown from the ground, blending seamlessly with the surrounding environment. The elder explained that this time and space was a special existence—a nexus where countless timelines intersected and a key location for maintaining temporal balance.
Lin Mo and Su Yuqing then realized that they had stumbled upon such an important place by accident. The elder continued to explain that periodically, a mysterious dark force would attempt to disrupt the temporal balance here, threatening to affect the entire multiverse. Their ancestors had long been tasked with guarding this time and space to ensure that the dark force would not prevail.
Lin Mo recalled the Curse Pattern on his forehead and all the time-related events he had experienced previously, feeling a surge of foreboding. He recounted his journey to the elder, including his acquisition of time-traveling abilities, being entangled in the Mysterious Organization's schemes, and merging with the Time Eye. Upon hearing this, the elder's expression grew grave.
The elder took Lin Mo and Su Yuqing to a grand temple. The temple's exterior was magnificent, its walls adorned with exquisite reliefs depicting ancient time wars and mysterious rituals. Inside the temple, they found a massive crystal ball emitting a soft glow; within it seemed to shimmer countless stars while various scenes from different times occasionally flickered into view.
Pointing at the crystal ball, the elder said, "This crystal ball can display the conditions of various timelines. Everything you have experienced may be related to the impending dark force. Your arrival may not be coincidental but rather fate's design."
Lin Mo and Su Yuqing leaned closer to observe the images within the crystal ball. They saw their modern world along with ancient timelines they had visited before, as well as some bizarre timelines they had never encountered. Suddenly, the images within the crystal ball became chaotic as a dark shadow emerged, gradually encroaching upon each timeline.
The elder's expression turned serious as he said, "This is the dark force; it is growing stronger. The Mysterious Organization you encountered earlier may merely be its minions. And you, Lin Mo—your Curse Pattern may be key to resisting this dark force."
A jolt ran through Lin Mo as he realized that his mission was far more significant than he had imagined. He decided to stay and help protect this Time-Space Node alongside its inhabitants against the dark force's invasion. Su Yuqing also resolutely expressed her desire to fight alongside Lin Mo.
Under the elder's guidance, Lin Mo began learning how to harness his powers merged with the Time Eye and utilize the special abilities of his Curse Pattern to combat the dark force. He trained diligently every day, constantly exploring his limits. Meanwhile, Su Yuqing applied her archaeological knowledge and wisdom to help Lin Mo decipher ancient texts in search of methods to counteract the dark force.
After some time of rigorous training, Lin Mo's strength significantly increased. He gradually mastered a skill that allowed him to manipulate temporal energy to form powerful shields while also learning how to infuse Time-Space Power into weapons to enhance their attack power.
However, actions from the dark force became increasingly frequent. One day, a massive Black Rift suddenly appeared in the sky, unleashing countless black energy entities from its fissure. These entities took on various forms—some resembling gigantic beasts while others appeared as twisted phantoms—as they charged toward the settlement.
Lin Mo and Su Yuqing immediately joined everyone in battle. Armed with weapons empowered by Time-Space Power, Lin Mo dispersed groups of black energy entities with each strike. Meanwhile, Su Yuqing provided healing for those injured in battle while using her understanding of Time-Space Power to assist Lin Mo in stabilizing their surroundings' temporal flow and preventing further destruction by the dark force.
In the heat of battle, Lin Mo noticed that these black energy entities seemed controlled by some form of consciousness. He resolved to delve into the rift in search of the source of the dark force in order to resolve this crisis once and for all. Although Su Yuqing worried for Lin Mo's safety, she understood that it was necessary; thus she blessed him as she watched him enter the rift.
Upon entering the rift, Lin Mo found himself in a space filled with darkness and an aura of evil. At its center loomed a massive black figure radiating immense dark power—the very source of this malevolence.
"Do you think you can stop me?" The Dark Figure spoke in a deep and sinister voice. "Your power is insignificant before me."
Unfazed, Lin Mo replied firmly: "I will not allow you to disrupt temporal balance! Today is your end!"
With that declaration, Lin Mo unleashed his strongest attack. He released all his powers merged with Time Eye along with those granted by his Curse Pattern and everything he had trained for during this time. A brilliant light erupted from him, illuminating the entire dark space.
The Dark Figure sensed an overwhelming threat and retaliated with all its might; waves of black energy surged toward Lin Mo like an overwhelming tide. Light clashed against darkness in a deafening explosion as reality itself trembled under their fierce confrontation—teetering on collapse at any moment.
In this intense struggle, Lin Mo gradually gained the upper hand. His light continued consuming the dark power until finally—after one last powerful strike—the Dark Figure let out a wretched scream before vanishing completely.
As the Dark Figure dissipated, the Black Rift slowly closed, and the dark energy entities vanished along with it. Lin Mo had successfully thwarted the invasion of dark forces, safeguarding this Time-Space Node.
When Lin Mo returned to the Settlement, the crowd erupted in cheers. The elder looked at Lin Mo with eyes full of admiration and pride. "You did it; you are a true hero. But the guardianship of time and space never ends. New challenges await you in the future."
Lin Mo understood the elder's words well. He and Su Yuqing decided to stay in this time-space for a while longer, helping the people rebuild their homes and strengthen the defenses of the Time-Space Node. At the same time, they continued to explore the mysteries of time and space, preparing for any potential crises that might arise in the future.
