Lin Mo and Su Yuqing found themselves surrounded by members of the Mysterious Organization, the atmosphere thick with tension. The leader, a figure in a black robe, stepped forward, exuding an aura of malevolence that blended seamlessly with the surrounding darkness. "Hand over the key, and you won't escape today!" the black-robed man growled.
Lin Mo gripped his Time-Space Longsword tightly, positioning Su Yuqing protectively behind him. "Not a chance! We will never let you succeed!" he shouted defiantly. Su Yuqing stood her ground as well, channeling her energy to prepare for an imminent display of rune power.
Laughter erupted from the Mysterious Organization members as they surged forward. Though individually weaker than Lin Mo and Su Yuqing, their sheer numbers overwhelmed the two warriors. Lin Mo swung his Time-Space Longsword, its blade shimmering with blue light; each strike sent several enemies reeling back. Yet, they kept coming, relentless in their assault.
Meanwhile, Su Yuqing focused intently on inscribing runes on the ground. Golden symbols illuminated the surface, forming defensive barriers that thwarted the enemy's advances. She also unleashed counterattacks using her rune power, shooting beams of golden light that exploded upon impact, causing cries of pain from their foes.
In the midst of the fierce battle, Lin Mo noticed that the Mysterious Organization members seemed to be following a specific tactic—wearing them down and exhausting their stamina. Realizing this was not a sustainable strategy, he knew he had to find an opportunity to break free.
Concentrating deeply, he summoned his Time-Space Power. The Striation on his forehead glowed intensely as the surrounding space began to warp slightly. Lin Mo activated a new time-space skill—Time Stasis. Under his control, time appeared to slow down; the movements of the Mysterious Organization members became sluggish.
Seizing this chance, Lin Mo darted between enemies, his Time-Space Longsword striking with the ferocity of a storm against their vital points. Under the influence of Time Stasis, the enemies could not evade his attacks and fell one after another.
However, maintaining Time Stasis drained immense energy from Lin Mo, and he could only sustain it for a brief moment. As time returned to normal, the Mysterious Organization members launched another fierce assault. This time, they altered their strategy, splitting into smaller teams to attack Lin Mo and Su Yuqing from multiple directions.
Back-to-back, Lin Mo and Su Yuqing defended against attacks coming from all sides. Fresh wounds appeared on Lin Mo's body as blood flowed freely, yet he fought on with unwavering determination. Su Yuqing's rune power was also dwindling; her face paled but her eyes remained resolute.
Just when they felt overwhelmed, Lin Mo suddenly spotted a flaw in the enemy's encirclement. The Mysterious Organization had neglected their rear defenses in their eagerness to concentrate their forces against Lin Mo and Su Yuqing. Without hesitation, he grabbed Su Yuqing's hand and dashed toward the opening.
They broke through the enemy's circle and sprinted toward a stone platform in the center of the hall. As Lin Mo reached for the Sealing Key resting there, it emitted a brilliant Golden Light filled with immense power. This energy resonated with Lin Mo's own Time-Space Power, granting him a brief surge in strength.
"Not good! They've got the key! Stop them!" cried the black-robed man in panic.
Members of the Mysterious Organization charged at Lin Mo and Su Yuqing in a frenzy. "You take the key first! I'll hold them off!" Lin Mo urged as he handed the Sealing Key to Su Yuqing before raising his Time-Space Longsword once more to confront their foes.
This time, Lin Mo's strikes were even more ferocious. Each swing carried potent Time-Space Power that seemed capable of tearing through reality itself. The members of the Mysterious Organization were forced back by his relentless assault. Yet there were too many adversaries; fatigue began to set in for Lin Mo.
Su Yuqing watched him with growing concern; she knew she couldn’t simply hide behind him any longer. Focusing her mind, she sought new strength from the Mysterious Symbol on the key. Suddenly, a flash of inspiration struck her—these symbols bore a connection to the Time-Space Rune she had studied in ancient ruins.
Recalling how to arrange those runes from memory, she infused her power into the key. Its glow intensified dramatically as a massive wave of golden energy surged forth from it toward the members of the Mysterious Organization.
The energy wave struck them like a tidal force; they screamed in agony as their bodies began to dissipate under its impact as if erased from existence by this overwhelming power.
Seeing this unfold, the black-robed leader was filled with terror. He turned to flee but was intercepted by Lin Mo who harnessed his Time-Space Power to appear before him in an instant. Raising his Time-Space Longsword high, he plunged it into the black-robed man.
The black-robed figure attempted to resist but found his efforts futile against Lin Mo’s overwhelming strength. The sword pierced through him with a cry of despair as he collapsed lifelessly to the ground.
With their leader fallen, other members of the Mysterious Organization scattered in panic. Lin Mo and Su Yuqing had successfully repelled them and safeguarded the Sealing Key.
Yet they understood this was merely a beginning. They needed to return to their original timeline quickly and use the Sealing Key to re-seal that dangerous Time-Space Sealing Device to thwart any further schemes from the Mysterious Organization. But what challenges awaited them on their journey back?
