Time flowed gently, and the deeds of Lin Mo and Su Yuqing in guarding the fabric of time and space became legendary, whispered among researchers. However, the peaceful days did not last long; beneath the surface tranquility, dark currents began to stir once more.
One day, Lin Mo was organizing time-space research materials at the institute as usual when suddenly, the instrument in his hand emitted a sharp alarm. The data on the screen fluctuated wildly, indicating that multiple Time-Space Nodes around the globe were experiencing abnormal Energy Fluctuations. These fluctuations were erratic and increasing in intensity, as if an unknown powerful force was secretly disturbing the order of time and space.
Upon hearing the news, Su Yuqing rushed over. The two examined the data on the instruments, their brows furrowed. "This fluctuation is strange; it’s completely different from what we encountered with the Mysterious Organization before," Lin Mo said quietly, concern evident in his eyes. Su Yuqing nodded and analyzed, "From the data, it seems these fluctuations are emanating from various depths of different time spaces, and there appears to be some subtle connection between them. We must investigate this as soon as possible."
Just as they prepared to delve deeper into these abnormal fluctuations, the institute received an anonymous letter. The paper was yellowed and exuded an air of antiquity, with crooked handwriting that looked as if it had been penned with an old dip pen. The content of the letter sent a chill down their spines: "The rift in time and space has opened again; danger is imminent. Beware of those secrets hidden in the shadows of history; they will bring about catastrophe. Seek the lost Book of Time and Space; it is the key to saving everything."
Lin Mo and Su Yuqing exchanged glances, seeing confusion and vigilance reflected in each other's eyes. "The Book of Time and Space? We've never heard of it," Su Yuqing remarked. Lin Mo pondered for a moment before saying, "Regardless, since this letter made its way here, it indicates that the writer knows we are guardians of time and space and is aware of the current crisis. We cannot ignore this clue."
To uncover the secrets behind the abnormal Energy Fluctuations and the Book of Time and Space, Lin Mo and Su Yuqing began to scour all available materials at the institute, from ancient texts to the latest research reports, leaving no stone unturned. However, after several days and nights of effort, they found nothing; information about the Book of Time and Space seemed as if it had never existed in this world.
"Could someone be deliberately misleading us?" Su Yuqing said with a hint of frustration. Lin Mo shook his head. "I find that unlikely. Those abnormal fluctuations are real; this letter should be connected to them somehow. Perhaps we are looking in the wrong direction; we cannot limit ourselves to just the institute's materials."
Thus, Lin Mo and Su Yuqing decided to start from those time-space ruins they had previously explored. They first arrived at an ancient site located in a rainforest in South America. It was still covered by dense vegetation, filled with a mysterious aura. Cautiously entering the ruins, Lin Mo and Su Yuqing closely examined the patterns and symbols on the walls, hoping to find clues related to the Book of Time and Space.
Deep within the ruins, they discovered a hidden chamber. The door was tightly shut, engraved with complex symbols unlike any they had seen before—more ancient and enigmatic. Despite trying various methods, Lin Mo and Su Yuqing could not open the door.
Just as they were feeling despondent, Lin Mo suddenly noticed that the symbols on the door seemed to flicker in a specific rhythm. Observing closely, he felt a familiar sensation rising within him. He recalled encountering a puzzle related to Time-Space Power frequency during previous adventures.
Focusing intently, Lin Mo summoned his Time-Space Power and adjusted its frequency according to the flickering rhythm of the symbols. As he did so, the symbols glowed brighter until finally, the door slowly creaked open. A wave of ancient mystery washed over them as a faint blue light filled the chamber.
Stepping inside, they saw a massive stone platform upon which rested a book radiating blue light. The cover bore strange symbols that matched descriptions from the letter regarding the Book of Time and Space. Excitedly approaching it, Lin Mo and Su Yuqing carefully picked up the book.
However, just as they grasped it, the chamber began to shake violently. Stones fell from above while cracks appeared in the ground beneath them. Realizing they had triggered the chamber's Core Defense Mechanism, Lin Mo shouted urgently for Su Yuqing to flee toward the exit.
As they ran for their lives, they encountered various deadly traps: sharp arrows shooting from walls, sudden sinkholes forming beneath their feet, and massive stones rolling toward them from behind. Thanks to their rich experience and powerful Time-Space Power, Lin Mo and Su Yuqing managed to escape one peril after another.
Finally breaking free from the chamber just as it began to collapse entirely around them, they sprinted out into safety moments before being engulfed by falling debris.
Back at the institute, Lin Mo and Su Yuqing eagerly began studying the Book of Time and Space. They discovered it was written in an ancient script they had never seen before—deciphering it proved extremely challenging.
To aid in translating it, they enlisted language experts and historians from within their institute. After much collaborative effort, they finally managed to decipher part of its contents: The Book recorded an ancient legend about the origins and development of time-space as well as a mysterious power capable of manipulating it.
According to its records, there once existed a powerful civilization that mastered these secrets in ancient times. They created the Book of Time and Space to safeguard temporal balance but vanished due to a catastrophic disaster that led to its loss. Now that balance was threatened again; only by finding its true owner could they unlock its hidden secrets and save their world.
"The true owner of the Book of Time and Space? What does that mean?" Su Yuqing asked with confusion. Lin Mo pondered for a moment before responding: "Perhaps it refers to those with a special connection to time-space—like me—with my Curse Pattern intertwined with Time Eye; I might just be what this book speaks of."
As they discussed this further, alarms on their instruments blared once more. The abnormal Energy Fluctuations intensified significantly; multiple Time-Space Nodes worldwide showed signs of Time Rifts forming. Lin Mo and Su Yuqing realized their time was running short—they needed to unravel the secrets behind the Book of Time and Space quickly if they were to find a way to confront this crisis. But would they succeed? What dangers and challenges awaited them in their search for its true owner?
