Lin Mo and Su Yuqing were acutely aware of the urgency of their situation and threw themselves into the study of the Book of Time and Space. As their research deepened, they discovered that the book contained unique runes that seemed to have a subtle connection with the Curse Pattern on Lin Mo's forehead. Each time Lin Mo approached the Book of Time and Space, the Striation on his forehead would emit a faint warmth, as if responding to some power within the book.
"These runes and your Striation might be the key to unlocking the secrets," Su Yuqing remarked as she carefully compared the runes with the Striation. Lin Mo nodded, focusing his mind on sensing the resonance between his Striation and the runes. He closed his eyes, attempting to merge his Time-Space Power with the runes in the book.
As Lin Mo immersed himself in this process, his consciousness was suddenly pulled by a mysterious force into a strange space. This realm was filled with dazzling light, with countless twinkling stars swirling around him, as if he were at the core of the universe. In the center of this brilliance appeared a vague figure.
"You have finally arrived, Guardian of Time and Space," the figure's voice seemed to emanate from endless ages, filled with both weariness and mystery.
Lin Mo asked warily, "Who are you? Where is this place?"
The figure slowly replied, "I am the spirit that guards the Book of Time and Space. This space is the core world of the book. The Curse Pattern on you is one of the keys to unlocking its power, but you will need to find two other crucial elements to truly master its strength and save time and space."
Lin Mo quickly pressed for more information, "What are the other two crucial elements?"
After a moment of silence, the spirit said, "The first is to find the legendary Time Crystal, which contains pure time-space power that can resonate with your abilities and the runes in the book. The second is to unravel the ancient Time-Space Riddle; clues to this riddle are hidden deep within the histories of various time and space."
Lin Mo wanted to ask more, but the spirit gradually faded away, and his consciousness returned to the real world. He shared his experience in that strange space with Su Yuqing. Although surprised, she quickly regained her composure and joined Lin Mo in searching for clues.
Through further study of the Book of Time and Space, they uncovered some vague leads regarding the Time Crystal. The book mentioned that it had once been sealed within an ancient Ice and Snow Castle located in a time-forgotten corner of space, surrounded by powerful Time-Space Turbulence.
Without hesitation, Lin Mo and Su Yuqing set off on their quest for the Time Crystal. Utilizing their time-space traversal abilities, they navigated through rifts in time and space in search of that mysterious Ice and Snow Castle. Along their journey, they encountered various dangers from Time-Space Turbulence and strange temporal creatures.
On one occasion, they faced a group of Time-Space Phantoms—illusions formed from fragments of memories escaping from a Time Rift that shifted shapes according to one's inner fears. Lin Mo saw visions of himself failing in battle while Su Yuqing witnessed scenes of Lin Mo disappearing forever to save the world from endless darkness. Yet they understood these were mere illusions; encouraging each other, they broke through the phantoms' encirclement with unwavering resolve.
After a long search, they finally discovered the legendary castle amidst a snowy landscape. The castle was encased in thick layers of ice, emanating an aura both cold and mysterious. The grand entrance was tightly shut, covered with runes similar to those found in the Book of Time and Space.
Lin Mo and Su Yuqing cautiously approached the door, trying to find a way to open it. Just then, a group of massive Ice Snow Beasts emerged from all around them. These creatures towered over them at twice their height, covered in sharp ice spikes with eyes gleaming cold blue.
The beasts lunged at them with claws bared. Lin Mo quickly summoned his Time-Space Power, forming a blue shield before him to fend off their attacks. Meanwhile, Su Yuqing searched for weaknesses among these monsters and discovered that their eyes were vulnerable points.
"Lin Mo! Attack their eyes!" Su Yuqing shouted.
Nodding in agreement, Lin Mo concentrated his Time-Space Power into his hand, forming a shimmering blade of light. He darted aside to evade an attack from one beast and swiftly charged at another, plunging his blade deep into its eye.
The beast let out a pained roar before collapsing heavily onto the ground. Seeing this, the other beasts became even more frenzied in their assault on Lin Mo and Su Yuqing. They fought closely together—defending against attacks while looking for opportunities to counterattack. In this fierce battle, Lin Mo found himself becoming increasingly adept at wielding his Time-Space Power; his strikes grew sharper as he gradually gained an upper hand.
Finally, all of the beasts were defeated. Lin Mo and Su Yuqing breathed a sigh of relief as they returned once more to stand before the castle's entrance. Focusing intently, Lin Mo merged his Time-Space Power with the runes on the door. As he did so, light flickered from the runes until slowly, the door began to open.
Stepping inside the castle revealed an atmosphere thick with cold mist; both floor and walls were made of crystal-clear ice. At its center stood a massive ice platform upon which rested a crystal radiating soft blue light—the very Time Crystal they had been desperately seeking.
Excitedly approaching it together, as soon as Lin Mo's hand touched the Time Crystal, a powerful force surged into his body. The Striation on his forehead blazed brightly in response to its power. At that moment, the Book of Time and Space flew out from his backpack and hovered in mid-air; its runes intertwined with the crystal's glow to form an enormous energy field.
However, just as they reveled in finding the crystal, the castle suddenly began to shake violently. Ice blocks fell from above while cracks appeared on the ground beneath them. Lin Mo and Su Yuqing realized they had triggered the castle's ultimate Core Defense Mechanism.
"This is bad! We need to get out of here!" Lin Mo shouted urgently. Grabbing Su Yuqing's hand, he sprinted toward an exit from the castle. As they fled through various perilous ice traps—ice spikes shooting up from below or walls collapsing unexpectedly—they relied on their tenacity and formidable Time-Space Power to escape danger time after time.
At last, they burst out into safety outside of the castle only to find that their surroundings had undergone tremendous change. The once-familiar snowy world had vanished entirely; instead lay an expanse of dark void filled with countless Time Rifts radiating an ominous energy.
"What is happening?" Su Yuqing asked in terror. Lin Mo looked around at the scene, filled with worry. "It might be because we took the Time Crystal, triggering a series of chain reactions that caused this space-time area to begin collapsing. We need to find clues to unravel the Time-Space Riddle quickly and get out of here."
Lin Mo and Su Yuqing struggled to move through the dark void, unaware of what dangers awaited them in the next moment. Where could the clues to solve the Time-Space Riddle be hidden? Would they be able to find the answers and save themselves and the entire space-time before it completely collapsed?
