The two of them entered the elevator, and Tong Le still did not answer Lan Qingqing's questions.

Dao Wen was a cunning fox; she was five years older than both Lan Qingqing and Tong Le and had experienced all the ups and downs of life. Lan Qingqing felt overwhelmed; she thought her chances were slim! Did that mean she would have to rely on Ke Jie? But that stingy guy wasn’t easy to deal with either. She had known Ke Jie for seven years and had only managed to get a car and a small apartment out of him. They barely had ten thousand in cash together, and she felt like she was at a disadvantage!
The elevator doors opened, and Tong Le stepped out while Lan Qingqing remained frozen inside.
Tong Le reminded her, "Aren't you coming out?"
Lan Qingqing looked up and hurriedly followed her out.
She still intended to ask more about Dao Wen, but Tong Le simply said goodbye, "I have to go to the conference room for a meeting."
Once Tong Le left, Lan Qingqing's expression instantly soured; her lips drooped, and her eyes darkened, resembling a disgruntled wife.
Returning to her workstation, she found Wu Youyou absent. She planned to apologize to the employees upstairs later. Earlier, she had bowed so much that her back ached; no one knew why she did it, but she wasn’t one to back down easily. Her explanation was straightforward: Wu Youyou made her do it.
She thought to herself that if Wu Youyou wouldn’t let her have an easy time, then she wouldn’t let Wu Youyou have a good reputation either! She could bow and apologize, but she wanted everyone in the company to know that Wu Youyou was just a lunatic—a freak!
Lan Qingqing took out her phone and opened WeChat. To her surprise, there were several unread messages in the company’s employee group chat.
She quickly clicked on it; the group was discussing Zong Jin and Dao Wen. Before she could spread the news herself, the group erupted with chatter—apparently Manager Qian had blabbed about it to his subordinates, who then spread the word about Zong Jin and Dao Wen's relationship far and wide.
A smirk crept onto Lan Qingqing's face as she silently observed her colleagues' conversations.
The colleagues were chatting excitedly:
"Dazong Zong's girlfriend is so sexy and beautiful! Like a model! Today so many beauties came to the company—one is Tong Le from Tongshan Real Estate, and the other is this Dao Wen! These two beauties have completely different styles; I envy them so much! How do they have such good genes?"
"Don't you think that Tong Le from Tongshan Real Estate is getting close to our Xiao Zong Zong? It feels like there's some subtle chemistry between them!"
"Is that true? Xiao Zong Zong is with Tong Le? Dazong Zong is with Dao Wen? Our company's two most handsome men are taken?"
"So sad! They were both single before; my motivation for coming to work every day was just for those two handsome Xiao Zong Zongs! Handsome and charming men like them are extinct outside!"
