Zhang Huizhi's eyes darted away as Ke Wenjie pressed on, asking if there was a problem with the money in her account.

As Ke Wenjie listened to this elaborate story about overseas investments and oil sales, he felt increasingly convinced it was a scam.
Lan Qingqing also picked up on the underlying issues and cautiously asked, "Auntie, are you sure you weren't scammed?"
Zhang Huizhi turned sharply to Lan Qingqing and shouted, "You crow! What do you know? They have a thirty billion project! How could they scam me? My twenty million quota is like child's play to them!"
Ke Wenjie felt a sinking feeling in his stomach. He furrowed his brow and questioned, "Mom, who got you to invest? Do I know them? And did you really transfer out twenty million cash? Do you have an investment contract? Who is the company? When did you start doing this?"
The more he thought about it, the more suspicious he became. The money from selling the house had barely arrived two days ago; how could she have sent it all out already?
Without thinking twice, he took out his phone to report it to the police.
Zhang Huizhi quickly grabbed Ke Wenjie's phone and said fiercely, "Why would you call the police? They are legitimate investors! Why don't you believe me? They aren't scammers! I have contracts in black and white with all the proper paperwork! If you don't believe me, I'll give you their contact information so you can verify it yourself!"
As she spoke, Zhang Huizhi rummaged through her pocket for her phone. She opened her WeChat conversation with Li Hongmei but saw that despite sending a message yesterday, she hadn't received a reply yet.
Feeling a bit uneasy, she forced herself to believe that Li Hongmei must be too busy.
Zhang Huizhi directly called Li Hongmei on WeChat but got no answer.
