On the other side, in Lan Qingqing's apartment, the real estate agent brought a prospective buyer to tour the place. Lan Qingqing responded just as decisively, "I’ll lower it by fifty thousand! But I have one condition: I need to stay for another four or five months without any disturbances. I can handle all the paperwork anytime, but I just want to continue living here for a while because I have others at home, and I don’t want them to know I sold the place."
The agent nodded emphatically. "Let me talk to him; I think he’ll agree!"
Half an hour later, the sale was settled. Lan Qingqing sold her apartment for fifty thousand less than the asking price, and the buyer agreed to let her stay for four months without bothering her family.
After the agent left with the buyer, Zhang Huizhi happened to come upstairs. She noticed several blue shoe covers in the trash bin by the door and frowned. "Has someone been here?"
Lan Qingqing casually explained, "It was someone from the gas company checking equipment safety."
Zhang Huizhi sat down on the sofa with a furrowed brow. "I thought about it all night, and I still need to ask Jin Zi Meng for help. You were right; right now, Jin Zi Meng is the only one who can get close to Tong Le."
Zhang Huizhi immediately stood up. "I’m going next door to talk to Jin Feng. I need her to send her daughter to teach that Tong Le a lesson!"
While sipping warm water, Lan Qingqing said, "Make sure you think about what benefits you can offer her. Jin Feng seems honest enough, but I feel like she’s more cunning than anyone else."
Zhang Huizhi retorted, "Cunning? She’s just a mistress; her little schemes are written all over her face! She’s only after Ke Wei Qiang’s money! Don’t worry about it; I know how to persuade her!"
Zhang Huizhi marched straight over to Jin Feng's place. The door was opened by Ke Wei Qiang, and as soon as he saw her, his smile vanished. "What do you want?"
Rolling her eyes, Zhang Huizhi replied, "I’m looking for Jin Feng! Just need to talk."
Ke Wei Qiang sized her up with disdain. "You look like you’ve been eating too much; your clothes can barely hide it!"
Once Jin Feng brought out the food and set it on the table, she invited Zhang Huizhi with a smile, "Come eat with us."
Zhang Huizhi pulled out a chair and sat down. She intended to get straight to business but found herself distracted by the delicious-looking dishes on the table. The food was colorful and aromatic; clearly, Jin Feng was a good cook.
Jin Feng handed Zhang Huizhi a pair of chopsticks and said cheerfully, "Let’s eat together; I just tossed together some leftovers from yesterday's hot pot."
Zhang Huizhi picked up her chopsticks and started eating. Before she knew it, she had completely forgotten about her original purpose for being there and devoured two large bowls of rice.
Ke Wei Qiang grew irritated watching her eat like a pig. He threw down his chopsticks and stood up angrily. "You eat like a damn hog! It’s disgusting! I'm going downstairs for a walk!"
After Ke Wei Qiang stepped out of the house, Zhang Huizhi also set down her bowl and chopsticks. She looked at Jin Feng, who was eating slowly, and spoke up. "After Jin Zi Meng graduates from university, are you planning to let her work at Tongshan Real Estate? Is there no other plan?"
Jin Feng shook his head with a smile. "As long as she can earn some living expenses, that's enough. I have no expectations for her. Zi Meng is just an ordinary person; I don't expect her to achieve great things."
Zhang Huizhi probed further, "You heard what Ke Wenjie said yesterday, right? If Zi Meng performs well, she should get a raise and a promotion."
Jin Feng paused for a moment and simply nodded.
Zhang Huizhi continued, "You know that the most valuable thing in a company is its shares, right? With company shares, you don’t have to do anything; you just wait for the dividends. I was thinking, since Zi Meng is part of this family, giving her some shares in Tongshan Real Estate wouldn’t be unreasonable."
Jin Feng raised his head. "But isn’t Tongshan Real Estate owned by Tong Le?"
Zhang Huizhi felt that Jin Feng was starting to see her point. Seizing the opportunity, she said, "Yes, it currently belongs to Tong Le. But if something were to happen to him and he has no heirs, wouldn’t it then belong to Ke Wenjie? At that time, getting Ke Wenjie to give Jin Zi Meng a share of the company wouldn’t be difficult at all."
Zhang Huizhi deliberately added, "You know that Tongshan Real Estate’s net profit can reach ten million! If Zi Meng holds ten percent of the company shares, that would mean a dividend of one million! One million! Just by staying at home without doing anything!"

"What do you want me to help you with?" Jin Feng inquired.
With a sinister smile, Zhang Huizhi replied, "I want you to make Jin Zi Meng get rid of Tong Le's child."
