Lan Qingqing arrived at the entrance of the institution, where the sign had yet to be hung, clearly indicating it was a new establishment. She felt a bit anxious; the place looked unfinished, and she wondered about the risks involved if surgery were to take place here.
However, once she entered and was taken to the inpatient department, everything went smoothly. The staff were courteous, and the hygiene and facilities in the inpatient area were quite luxurious.
Feeling somewhat reassured, she soon encountered a slightly plump Male Doctor who appeared in her hospital room wearing a white coat. With a kind smile, he greeted her, "Miss Lan, right? Hua Dean has specifically informed us about you. During your stay for the surgery, you can rest assured. We can discuss your cosmetic requests at our leisure."
Lan Qingqing nodded and asked, "So when will my surgery be scheduled?"
The Male Doctor replied, "The earliest would be tomorrow. We need to conduct various health checks today to ensure everything is perfect before we proceed with the surgery. This is for your safety."
He then added, "Oh, by the way, we have assigned two professional nurses to take care of your daily needs and any post-operative concerns."
At this point, Lan Qingqing felt completely at ease. Although the institution had not officially opened and was still under renovation, the Medical Team seemed quite reliable.
"Thank you for your help," she said.
The Male Doctor continued, "In a moment, I’ll need you to sign our Investment Agreement. If our promotional efforts yield good results later on, you could become one of our designated Medical Aesthetics ambassadors to promote our products and earn corresponding commissions."
Hearing that there was money to be made made Lan Qingqing even happier.
After the Male Doctor left, she opened her phone and first informed her new company about her situation—explaining that she would be hospitalized for surgery due to health issues. Then she sent a message to Hou Yi filled with affection: "Dear, I won’t be able to accompany you for the next month. But after a month, you'll see a brand new me! Didn’t you say you liked girls with high noses? You’ll get to see one in a month! Don’t fall too much in love with me then!"
Hou Yi replied: "I also said I like Pinocchio; can you turn into one for me?"
Lan Qingqing responded: "You’re being mischievous! I won’t say more; I’ll miss you!"

In the office, Hua Rongxiao had just hung up the phone after learning that Lan Qingqing had taken the bait. She turned around to see Ke Wenjie sitting on the sofa sipping tea with a frown on his face—she hadn’t seen him happy in quite some time.
"You’re going to stay gloomy forever?" Hua Rongxiao asked. "I have a job opportunity for you; do you want to take it? You could earn some pocket money and keep yourself busy."
Ke Wenjie replied, "What are you planning with that old man? Didn’t you say last time that you wanted him dead? How do you intend to make that happen?"
Hua Rongxiao walked over to him and smiled. "You’re quite blunt these days. The gentlemanly scholar I knew has turned into someone who talks about killing so casually. Are you really so eager for my old man to die? Just last night he mentioned wanting me to bear him a daughter."
Ke Wenjie scoffed, "How ridiculous! That old fossil wants you to have his child?"
Hua Rongxiao said, "You don’t seem worried at all. Before I deal with Wan Zhang, I still need to handle Winston."
Ke Wenjie looked up and asked, "How can I help you?"
Hua Rongxiao raised an eyebrow and replied, "There are many ways you can assist me. In a while, the Annual Meeting of the Zong Shi Yan Tuan will take place. It's a rare opportunity for resource exchange, where influential figures from various fields gather. You should come along and meet Winston."
Ke Wenjie held the teacup tightly and said, "If you really manage to take over the entire Wan Jia, then I will leverage your power to eliminate Tong Le and the Zong Family Brothers!"
Hua Rongxiao confidently responded, "We will definitely win."
