Tong Le's phone call with Mo Kai Liang came through as she stood at the bathroom door. Zong Zeyu had brought Tong Le back to the Zong Family Mansion, where only Wen Cuizhi was home. Wu Youyou had moved out, and Zong Jin had gone to Dao Wen's place, leaving the house feeling a bit empty.
Tong Le wedged her phone between her ear and shoulder, tilting her head as she washed her hands while quietly listening to Mo Kai Liang's account. In the living room, Wen Cuizhi leaned closer to Zong Zeyu and whispered, wondering what Tong Le was so busy with. It was already late, and she was still on a work call.
Wen Cuizhi expressed her dissatisfaction, urging Zong Zeyu to find a way to lighten Tong Le's workload. She suggested either acquiring Tongshan Real Estate or hiring a professional team to take over its planning, relieving Tong Le of some of her burdens. "She's so young, yet she comes home from work every day only to work again. Her little face is looking pale! As her husband, you can't just stand by and watch her exhaust herself! It's fine for women to pursue their careers, but not at the cost of their health!"
Wen Cuizhi poked Zong Zeyu in the side. "Did you hear me? If you don't start preparing for this soon, I'll take matters into my own hands!"
Zong Zeyu chuckled. "Mom, she's not busy with work; she's handling matters regarding Jin Zi Meng. You remember Jin Feng, the one who fell from our building? Jin Zi Meng is his daughter. After Jin Feng's death, Jin Zi Meng only has Tong Le as a trusted friend who can help her. Tong Le is loyal; she can't just stand by."
Zong Zeyu grew slightly serious. "Besides, we also learned that there are other secrets behind Jin Feng's death."
Wen Cuizhi dismissed those thoughts and focused on another matter. "Your brother and Dao Wen have already registered their marriage; the wedding is just a month or two away. You need to step up! If we can get the wedding done together, I won't have to worry so much."
After returning to her room to rest, Wen Cuizhi remembered to mention that she had prepared a late-night snack in the kitchen and advised them both to get some rest.

Tong Le hung up the phone with a troubled expression on her face. Zong Zeyu pushed the late-night snack toward her and waited for her to speak.
Tong Le set down her phone, looking pensive. "Mo Kai Liang told me that Lan Qingqing lost a healthy kidney during her plastic surgery. No wonder she was shouting at me earlier outside the club about how Ke Wenjie and Hua Rongxiao ruined her health. Moreover, it's likely that the two-headed monster Lan Qingqing gave birth to was a result of injections from the Cosmetic Surgery Institution; it might have been used for live experimentation. She continued, "Mo Kai Liang said that Lan Qingqing was probably used as a live test subject for beauty injections because the entire surgery was free; she didn't spend a dime."
Zong Zeyu seemed confused. "But isn't Lan Qingqing quite wealthy now? She should be able to afford hundreds of thousands; didn't she get a lot of money from Mo Kai Liang and Ke Wenjie? Why would she need free surgery?"
Tong Le understood Lan Qingqing well; she liked taking advantage of situations.
"Mo Kai Liang also told me many things about Du Guangwei's Cosmetic Surgery Institution," Tong Le said. "It's strange; it's under renovation and hasn't officially opened yet. On the day Lan Qingqing was discharged, the hospital room where she had her surgery was demolished. When the police arrived, they couldn't even collect evidence."
Taking a deep breath, Tong Le added, "Before Lan Qingqing knew about Hua Rongxiao's collusion with Ke Wenjie, the person responsible for her consultation was Hua Rongxiao herself. Hua Rongxiao never mentioned Ke Wenjie and was very enthusiastic throughout the process while actively recommending free cosmetic procedures. It's clear this was all orchestrated by Hua Rongxiao."
Tong Le pondered aloud about Hua Rongxiao's intense hatred for Lan Qingqing that would lead her to do such things. She had heard that Lan Qingqing's health was deteriorating; all her medical indicators were abnormal, but hospitals couldn't diagnose her condition because they had never seen similar patients before. According to Mo Kai Liang, Lan Qingqing was like a walking carrier of an incurable virus—her condition could worsen at any moment or even lead to death.
After hearing all this, Zong Zeyu suggested a course of action: "We can start investigating Hua Rongxiao's Cosmetic Surgery Institution and look into the products she's selling to see if there's any breakthrough."
Suddenly recalling something important, Tong Le said, "Right! I remember that Zong Group invested in Hua Sheng Medical Aesthetics Company recently. President Zhao came to complain about counterfeit beauty injections disrupting the market—selling for only one-tenth of the price of genuine products. Do you think Hua Rongxiao could be involved in this? Zong Zeyu considered this for a moment before nodding in agreement. "It's a possibility worth exploring."
Tong Le asked him if he had any connections within his circle that overlapped with Hua Rongxiao’s network—someone completely trustworthy—because she felt that things had escalated significantly now. If they wanted to take down Ke Wenjie, they needed to dismantle Hua Rongxiao behind him first.
