Lan Qingqing lingered downstairs for a moment, taking a stroll around the community. The parking spaces were filled with luxury cars, each priced starting from tens of thousands, with the most expensive ones reaching hundreds of thousands. There were also some flashy modified vehicles that looked costly.
Her private investigator had informed her that Ke Wenjie was currently living in a house owned by Hua Rongxiao, who was extremely wealthy. Hua Rongxiao not only had multiple properties and businesses within the country but also various assets abroad, though the overseas investments were harder to trace.
Lan Qingqing felt a twinge of jealousy towards Ke Wenjie. Even after being abandoned by Tong Le, she managed to find someone new, and someone wealthier at that. The more she thought about it, the angrier she became. She strode into the building, ascended the stairs, and found Ke Wenjie's door number. To her surprise, the door was wide open!
Her heart skipped a beat as she wondered if there were guests inside, leaving the door ajar. She stealthily stood at the entrance and peeked through the crack; the spacious living room was empty, an expansive open layout.
Could it be that Ke Wenjie simply forgot to close the door? Gathering her courage, she stepped inside. The house was eerily quiet except for the sound of running water coming from the bathroom; it seemed Ke Wenjie was taking a shower.
At that moment, she heard a ringtone coming from the bathroom. Soon after, she recognized Ke Wenjie’s voice answering a call: "The door is open; I’m in the shower. I’m afraid you won’t be able to get in, so just come up when you arrive."
From this exchange, Lan Qingqing deduced that Ke Wenjie must have someone over—though it didn’t seem likely to be Hua Rongxiao since she had been out these past few days.
Not wanting to think too much about it, Lan Qingqing took advantage of Ke Wenjie’s shower to explore the spacious apartment. After all, Hua Rongxiao wasn’t home, so she could do as she pleased without fear of being stopped by Ke Wenjie.
She even opened the wardrobe in the master bedroom and found several exquisite haute couture outfits belonging to Hua Rongxiao. They were stunningly designed with high-quality materials—this was exactly the luxurious lifestyle she had always dreamed of!
She took one of the gowns and held it up against herself in front of the mirror, admiring her reflection.
Before long, she heard sounds coming from the entrance. Someone had entered the apartment and closed the door behind them. Then came a sweet voice: "Brother, I’m here! Are you still in the shower?"
Lan Qingqing jumped in shock; instinctively sensing something was off about that voice—it sounded more like a rendezvous than just a friend visiting!
Quickly clutching the dress to her chest, she dove into the wardrobe. It was spacious enough to comfortably fit two people.
She didn’t even know why she felt compelled to hide; after years of evasion—hiding from Tong Le, avoiding Hua Rongxiao—now she found herself hiding from Ke Wenjie’s fling as well! Even she found it amusing.
Squatting inside the wardrobe, she peered through a small gap in the doors. She dared not make a sound and remained perfectly still.
About five minutes later, she heard hurried footsteps—two pairs moving anxiously back and forth before they finally settled on the large bed.
The sounds that followed were unbearable; soft moans mixed with familiar lines from Ke Wenjie nearly made her sick!
At that moment, Lan Qingqing realized that Ke Wenjie was cheating at home! Taking advantage of Hua Rongxiao's absence to bring some unknown woman into their house—what reckless behavior!
Lan Qingqing was both excited and nervous. She took out her phone, switched to video mode, and gently pushed the wardrobe door open just enough to record the entire process.
It was a fiery encounter, a tumultuous affair.
Lan Qingqing was so thrilled that she almost laughed out loud; she had caught Ke Wenjie red-handed, and it was exhilarating! If this video reached Hua Rongxiao, she would definitely hold Ke Wenjie accountable! Perhaps Ke Wenjie would even lose the protection of his wealthy mistress!
After recording for a short while from inside the wardrobe, Lan Qingqing heard the sounds of footsteps; it seemed the two had gone to the bathroom, followed by the sound of water running.
Quickly, Lan Qingqing slipped out of the wardrobe and quietly made her way to the bathroom door. Inside, there was another round of fiery activity—it was quite a commotion!
She recorded a brief segment through the door before hastily escaping the scene. She had completely forgotten her original purpose for being there, but that no longer mattered.
Lan Qingqing hired a private investigator to send these two video clips anonymously to Hua Rongxiao.
Meanwhile, at a hospital facility, Hua Rongxiao was waiting for results when her phone buzzed with several messages from an unknown sender, urging her to check her email immediately.
Realizing that something was amiss, she stood up and walked to the window. Opening her email, she found two video attachments showing Ke Wenjie engaged in inappropriate activities at home.
Hua Rongxiao's emotions remained relatively stable, but she had already begun planning her next steps. Without delay, she called Ke Wenjie’s driver.
When the call connected, Hua Rongxiao ordered, "Go to Ke Wenjie’s place and keep an eye out for any women coming out. If you see one, find someone experienced to follow her and keep me updated."
The driver acknowledged her command.
Hua Rongxiao added, "Also, check the community surveillance footage to see if anyone has slipped into his home. But don’t call the police; just let me know if you find anything."
