In the previous moment, while mocking Ke Wenjie for being so impatient, Ying Rong Xiao was left stunned upon learning that Lan Qingqing had been released.

Ying Rong Xiao snatched Ke Wenjie's phone and tossed it onto the sofa. "Why are you panicking? Don't lose your sense of direction just because something unexpected happened! If you call her now, do you want her to have the upper hand over you?"
Ke Wenjie expressed his concern, "I'm worried that she might know some crucial evidence."
Ying Rong Xiao was not as flustered; she opened her phone again, waiting for a response from her subordinates. Finally, a message came through.
Letting out a slight sigh of relief, she saw it was from Tong Le. Tong Le had found a powerful lawyer for Lan Qingqing and managed to get her released. This meant that Lan Qingqing must have allied with Tong Le.
Ke Wenjie scoffed. "Lan Qingqing allied with Tong Le? And then Tong Le helped her? That’s absurd! It’s impossible! Tong Le and Lan Qingqing are sworn enemies! They could never collaborate! Look at what Lan Qingqing has done to Tong Le; how could Tong Le possibly trust her? And Lan Qingqing would never team up with Tong Le—she would rather defecate on Tong Le's head! Besides, the one thing Lan Qingqing cannot stand is being worse off than Tong Le!"
Waving his hand dismissively, Ke Wenjie continued, "I could barely believe it if someone else helped Lan Qingqing, but if you say it was Tong Le who got her out, I refuse to accept that."
Ying Rong Xiao also found it puzzling why Tong Le would help Lan Qingqing. The situation had already unfolded; there was no point in getting tangled up in cause and effect now.
What she needed to do was clarify the situation as quickly as possible and find a way to send Lan Qingqing back behind bars in a short time frame.
