Meanwhile, police officers were circling around the parking lot behind Si, having zeroed in on two delivery trucks linked to previous shipments commissioned by Wu Youyou for transporting artwork. Following Tong Le’s suggestion, Wu Youyou had installed trackers and cameras within the frames of the paintings. After numerous trips back and forth, they had captured many criminal activities and details both inside and outside the vehicles.
Tong Le had already submitted the secretly recorded videos to the police. The footage showed individuals using Logistics Department vehicles to transport prohibited items, capturing scenes of goods being loaded and unloaded along with license plate numbers during transit.
The police quickly identified and seized those vehicles based on the video evidence. Now, in addition to charges of attempted murder hanging over Ke Wenjie’s head, he faced another: illegal transportation of prohibited items.
The Logistics Department was sealed off and all operations suspended.
