Hua Rongxiao turned to leave when Zong Zeyu suddenly spoke up. "With Wan Jia no longer having a leader, does that mean Hua Zong will take over the responsibilities of the late Mr. Wan?"
Hua Rongxiao looked at Zong Zeyu and replied, "Yes, Xiao Zong Zong. I have officially taken over Wan Jia Xuan Tuan, and the procedures with the legal team have been completed."
Zong Zeyu smiled slightly. "Good, understood."
Hua Rongxiao continued, "In the future, if the Zong Family wishes to collaborate with us at Zong Shi Yan Tuan, you are always welcome. I have other guests to attend to now, so I must take my leave."
As Hua Rongxiao turned to walk away, dressed in a black mourning outfit, she still exuded grace and elegance, almost as if she were walking on a stage rather than at a funeral.
Zong Zeyu couldn't help but smirk. "Tong Le," he said, "did I hear correctly? Does this mean our plan can be put into action?"
Hua Rongxiao had indicated that she had completed all legal formalities and that all matters concerning Wan Jia were now her responsibility.
Zong Zeyu nodded and took out his phone to send a message to his secretary, preparing for action.
Jin Zi Meng was excited. "Is this about what you discussed in the car earlier? As long as we confirm that Hua Rongxiao has taken over Wan Jia Xuan Tuan, we can legally detain her in the country and prevent her from leaving?"
Tong Le nodded vigorously. "Yes! Yesterday, Zeyu, Dao Wen, Zong Jin, and I stayed up all night brainstorming how to keep Hua Rongxiao in the country. Last night we found out she had booked a flight abroad; she clearly intends to escape."
Jin Zi Meng asked curiously, "So what are you planning to do?"
Zong Zeyu explained, "Hua Rongxiao doesn't understand the history of Wan Jia Xuan Tuan. She thinks there has never been any substantial cooperation between Wan Jia and the Zong Family. However, three years ago, there was a strategic partnership that was halted shortly after it began due to some undisclosed reasons. Now that Hua Rongxiao wants to flee, we can bring this old issue back into play. The main responsibility for halting the cooperation lies with Wan Jia due to procedural and policy issues. If we bring this matter to light, it will easily attract police attention. Moreover, Wan Jia Xuan Tuan's funds have been unaccounted for for so many years; just this alone could prevent Hua Rongxiao from leaving the country temporarily."
Jin Zi Meng listened intently. "Is it really that serious? I've never heard of this! If there was cooperation between the Zong Family and Wan Jia, it would have been widely known by now!"
Tong Le chuckled. "You wouldn't know; this project was initially negotiated by Zong Jin. If he hadn't brought it up, Zeyu wouldn't have remembered this opportunity. If we leverage that angle from the confidentiality agreement, it could also keep Hua Rongxiao from leaving the country."
Jin Zi Meng was thrilled. "I can't wait to see her face when things go south! There are always several shady figures lurking around me from the production team; sometimes I really want to confront them directly and ask how much money Hua Rongxiao and Zong Caishan gave them!"
Mentioning Zong Caishan's name reminded Tong Le of something; it was quite strange how quiet he had been lately.
At that moment, they approached the funeral venue and witnessed an astonishing scene.
Hua Rongxiao stood right in the center of the funeral hall with a large drone hovering above her head—much bigger than regular drones and making a tremendous noise, resembling one used for transporting goods.
Suspended beneath the drone was a plastic basin containing something unclear to see.
