As the footsteps of autumn quietly approach, Mo Yanyu welcomed the parents' meeting at the Star Kindergarten. He put on a simple and elegant dark suit, exuding a mature and steady temperament. At the door, he tidied up his clothes gently, then turned to Star and said, "Star, we're off to your school."
Star wore a pink dress with a matching headband, looking lively and cute. She excitedly said, " Uncle Mo, I want to show my painting to the teachers and my friends!"
Walking through the entrance of the kindergarten, a lively scene greeted the eyes. The campus was decorated with children's handicrafts and paintings, colorful and full of innocence and creativity. The laughter and cheers of the children echoed in the air, bringing boundless energy to this autumn day.
Mo Yanyu followed the stars to her classroom. The classroom was warm and full of childlike fun, with children's paintings hanging on the walls, each one a work of their pure hearts. Excitedly, the star grabbed Mo Yanyu's hand and pointed to a painting on the wall, saying, "Uncle Mo, that's my painting. I painted our home."
Mo Yanyu leaned down and carefully admired the painting of the stars. In the painting, there was a brightly colored small house with a chimney on the roof, and colorful smoke wafting from the chimney. In front of the house was a lush green lawn, with stars and the likeness of a tall man - undoubtedly her depiction of Uncle Mo.
"Star, you've painted so well," Mo Yanyu said gently and encouragingly.
The parent-teacher meeting officially begins, and the children's teacher takes the stage to introduce the class's teaching situation and the progress of the children. Mo Yanyu sits in the back of the classroom, his expression focused, occasionally nodding, showing his concern for education.
When it comes to Xingxing, the teacher's face shows an appreciative smile: "Xingxing is one of the most creative children in our class, she always shows amazing imagination in drawing and handicraft activities."
Mo Yanyu heard this and felt a surge of pride in his heart. He looked at the star sitting beside him, whose face was filled with confidence.
After the meeting, Mo Yanyu took the initiative to approach the teacher of the star, a young and energetic lady. His attitude was somewhat reserved, but his eyes were full of concern for the growth of the star.
"Teacher, do you have any suggestions regarding Xingxing's situation at school?" Mo Yanyu asked, his voice calm and organized.
The teacher smiled and replied, "Mr. Mo, Xingxing is doing very well at school. She is very curious and enjoys exploring new things. She has made great progress in language and social skills."
Upon hearing these words, Mo Yanyu's face showed a hint of contented smile: "That's great. May I ask how I can better support her growth at home?"
The teacher pondered for a moment and then replied: "Encourage her to express herself more and participate in various activities. Let her know that regardless of success or failure, you will support her."
Mo Yanyu nodded attentively and expressed that he would follow the advice. His attitude showed his seriousness and responsibility towards parenting.
After leaving the classroom, Mo Yanyu and Xingxing participated in the parent-child activities arranged by the kindergarten. A series of educational and fun games were underway. First was a parent-child skipping rope competition, where parents and children needed to cooperate seamlessly to complete the task of skipping rope together.
On the playground bathed in sunlight, parents and children participate in various games, filling the air with joy and warmth between family members.
Mo Yanyu and Xingxing joined the parent-child jump rope competition. This newly formed father-daughter duo stood at the starting line, ready to begin their performance. Xingxing's eyes sparkled with excitement and anticipation, dressed in a pink sportswear, looking lively and adorable. She tightly held Mo Yanyu's hand, her face beaming with excitement for the game about to begin.
Mo Yanyu appeared more serious, with a focused and meticulous gaze. Dressed in lightweight sportswear, he was completely absorbed in adjusting his breathing and posture, demonstrating his dedication to the activity.
As the referee's whistle sounded, Mo Yanyu and Xingxing began their jump rope performance. Initially, Mo Yanyu's movements were somewhat stiff, as he was not accustomed to this type of coordinated physical activity. However, he quickly found his rhythm and coordination with Xingxing.
The stars are bouncing and jumping, their laughter is clear and joyful, and every jump shows her innocence. Mo Yanyu also gradually relaxed and began to enjoy the fun of playing with his daughter. Their skipping rope coordination became more and more tacit, drawing praise and applause from the watching parents.
Although they didn't win the competition in the end, for Mo Yanyu and the little star, that happiness and closeness cannot be measured by prizes. After the competition, Mo Yanyu squatted down and gently hugged the little star: "Star, you jumped so well! I'm very proud."
Star happily embraced Mo Yanyu, her laughter echoing on the playground: "I'm also very happy, Uncle Mo!"
Next was a parent-child painting activity. Teachers laid out large canvases on the grass, and parents and children could create together on them. Mo Yanyu hesitated as he held a paintbrush, not being skilled in this type of artistic activity. But seeing the expectant look in Star's eyes, he sighed softly and decided to set aside his reservations and join in the creative fun.
Star holds a paintbrush, freely splashing colors on the canvas. Each of her strokes is filled with childlike innocence, and though the painting appears messy, it exudes pure creativity. Mo Yanyu assists on the side, moving slowly and meticulously, each stroke appearing cautious. In the end, they complete a playful piece: a large circle (representing Uncle Mo) and a small circle (representing Star) happily playing in a colorful world.
Next is a parent-child story reading competition. Mo Yanyu and Star are preparing to read a simple and interesting fairy tale book together. The competition takes place in a cozy and comfortable meeting room, adorned with colorful balloons and children's artwork on the walls, adding a lively atmosphere.
Mo Yanyu and Xingxing stepped forward for their turn to read aloud. Mo Yanyu was wearing a light-colored shirt and casual pants, looking both professional and friendly. His demeanor was serious, but his eyes revealed encouragement for Xingxing.
They chose a fairy tale about adventure and courage. Mo Yanyu began the reading, his voice deep and steady, enunciating each word clearly and with emotion. His pace was slow, ensuring that Xingxing could keep up.
Next, it's Star's turn to read aloud. Her little hand holds the book, and her eyes are focused on the text. Her voice is small and clear, although she doesn't pronounce some words perfectly, her performance is still full of passion and effort.
"Then, the little rabbit... bravely walked into the forest!" Star's tender voice echoes in the room, and her face is filled with confidence.
Mo Yanyu listened from the side, occasionally nodding and smiling, giving encouragement and support to the star. Although he was not good at expressing himself, every glance and gesture conveyed love and encouragement to the star.
After the reading ended, the audience gave warm applause. Mo Yanyu gently picked up the star and said, "Star, you did great, I'm proud of you."
Star's face showed a happy smile, and she hugged Mo Yanyu tightly, saying, "Thank you, Uncle Mo! I am also very happy."
After the event, Mo Yanyu took Star for a walk in the kindergarten's small garden. They walked through every corner, admiring the children's artwork and feeling the happiness and creativity of the children.
The stars occasionally pointed to certain works, excitedly introducing them to Mo Yanyu.
As the sky gradually darkened, Mo Yanyu and the stars left the kindergarten hand in hand. For Mo Yanyu, today was not only an affirmation of the stars' growth, but also a new experience in his role as "Uncle Mo."

That evening, to celebrate Star's small achievement, Mo Yanyu decided to make Star's favorite meal - homemade pizza and fruit salad. In the kitchen, Mo Yanyu showed a side of himself that was rarely seen - relaxed and humorous. They both busily worked together, with Star excitedly helping to sprinkle cheese and decorate the fruit.
At dinner, they sat in front of the table, with fragrant pizza and colorful fruit salad in front of them. Xingxing ate with relish, her little face full of satisfaction and happiness.
Mo Yanyu looked at Xingxing, his eyes shining with love and warmth. He played an important role in the growth of this little girl. Although the road of parenting is full of challenges, seeing Xingxing's progress little by little, he feels that everything is worth it.
After dinner, Mo Yanyu accompanied Xingxing to read and tell stories together. They spent a pleasant evening in the cozy living room.
As night fell, Xingxing slowly fell asleep in Mo Yanyu's arms. Mo Yanyu gently carried her to bed, tucked her in, and then stood at the door, quietly watching her peaceful sleeping face.
