On that day, Jiang Ming and Xiao Ya were holding a meeting at a secret location with the Experimental Subjects, discussing their next course of action. Suddenly, the door to the room was burst open, and a group of men in black rushed in.
"You finally made it," Jiang Ming said coldly, his fists clenching unconsciously.
The leader of the black-clad men stepped forward, sneering as he spoke, "Jiang Ming, do you really think that revealing some truths will lead you to victory? You are nothing but a bunch of foolish insects trying to stop a chariot."
Jiang Ming stood up, positioning himself protectively in front of Xiao Ya and the Experimental Subjects. "We will not back down, you villains."
The leader nodded slightly. "Then let’s see who will be laughing in the end." He gestured for the men behind him to advance.
Jiang Ming and Xiao Ya reacted swiftly, engaging in a fierce battle with the intruders. The Experimental Subjects also joined the fight; they were no longer mere victims but brave warriors.
After a grueling struggle, Jiang Ming and Xiao Ya successfully repelled the men in black. They panted heavily, gazing at the fallen foes on the ground, their hearts filled with vigilance.
"They won’t give up so easily," Xiao Ya said softly, a hint of exhaustion in her voice.
Jiang Ming nodded. "I know. We must be more careful and not give them any chance to capture us."
At that moment, Jiang Ming's phone suddenly rang. He answered it and heard a familiar voice on the other end. "Jiang Ming, it's Li Ming. We’re in trouble."
A sinking feeling settled in Jiang Ming's heart. "What kind of trouble?"
Li Ming's voice was urgent. "The scientists have started to fight back. They are using their connections to try to cover up the truth and even threatening the media not to report on this matter anymore."
Jiang Ming frowned. "What should we do?"
Li Ming thought for a moment. "We need more evidence, stronger proof. Only then can we keep the media and public support on our side."
Jiang Ming nodded. "Alright, I’ll find a way."
After hanging up, Jiang Ming turned to Xiao Ya and said, "We need to go to Li Ming’s place; things are looking grim."
Xiao Ya nodded, and they quickly packed their things and left the now unsafe location.
On their way to Li Ming's apartment, Jiang Ming and Xiao Ya constantly changed routes to evade potential tracking. They knew that every step they took was fraught with danger, but they could not retreat.
Finally, they arrived at Li Ming's apartment. He was waiting at the door with an anxious expression on his face.
"Come in quickly," Li Ming ushered them inside and swiftly closed the door.
Jiang Ming and Xiao Ya looked around and noticed that the living room table was cluttered with documents and materials.
"These are all I just got from the media," Li Ming said. "The scientists have already started taking action; they’re trying various means to stop us."
Jiang Ming nodded. "We need to find stronger evidence so that their conspiracy cannot succeed."
Xiao Ya looked at Li Ming and asked, "Do you have any leads?"
Li Ming nodded, "I heard that the scientists have a secret base where they might be storing more experimental data and evidence. If we can find it, we can completely expose their crimes."
A glimmer of determination flashed in Jiang Ming's eyes. "So what are we waiting for? Let's set off now!"
Li Ming agreed, "I have a rough idea of the location, but we need to confirm the exact spot."
The three quickly devised a plan to head to the scientists' secret base. They knew this would be a perilous adventure, but they were ready. For justice and freedom, they would forge ahead without hesitation.
