He pulled out a roll of yellowed silk cloth from his pocket. "This is the record from the time she was executed. Look at this part..." 0

The cloth read: 0
"The priestess's blood splattered the altar, and an omen arose. A sound like thunder echoed from beneath the earth, and the bells rang loudly. Suddenly, black smoke surged from underground, taking on a human shape, with eyes like phosphorescent flames. The priestess laughed uncontrollably, saying: 'What benefit is there in killing me? My blood has already been infused into the bell; every thirty years, the Bloodline will awaken…'" 0

"You mean," Yang Su looked at the silk cloth, "she did it on purpose?" 0

"Yes, she truly has returned. That year, a plague swept through the village, killing many people. A shaman claimed it was the spirit of the White-Clad Witch causing trouble. We had to find her Bloodline descendants and suppress her using special methods." 0

"And so our ancestors forged that bell," Teacher Li said. "It was made with the ashes of the White-Clad Witch's descendants mixed with bronze. This bell can contain her spirit, but every thirty years it requires a new Bloodline descendant to be sacrificed; otherwise, when the bell tolls, she will break free from her restraints." 0

"So those missing people…" 0

"Are all her descendants," Teacher Li said. "Including Wang Lanzhi, including Zhou Yue. It’s fate; no one can escape." 0

Suddenly, a muffled sound echoed from below. Dark red liquid seeped through the cracks in the stone tablet, emitting a strong metallic smell. 0

"The time has come," Zhang San Shui said. "White-Clad Witch has awakened." 0

At that moment, Zhou Yue let out a piercing scream. Her body trembled uncontrollably, and her eyes began to emit an eerie blue light. 0

"It’s starting," Teacher Li stepped back a few paces. "Bloodline Awakening." 0

Zhou Yue’s voice became hollow: "I remember now... I remember everything..." 0

Her voice was no longer her own but mixed with another ancient voice: "Three hundred years have passed; I have finally awaited this day." 0

"White-Clad Witch..." Zhang San Shui knelt on the ground. 0

Zhou Yue, or rather the White-Clad Witch possessing her, slowly raised her hand. The inscriptions on the stone tablet began to glow, and the ground trembled. 0

"You think this bell can contain me?" she scoffed coldly. "It does not suppress me; it protects me. For three hundred years, I have hidden within its sound, waiting for a pure descendant of the Bloodline to appear." 0

"What do you want?" Teacher Li's voice trembled. 0

"Revenge," White-Clad Witch said. "It was not the court that killed me; it was your ancestors. They feared my power and conspired with the court to frame me. Today is the day of reckoning." 0

Her body began to glow, her clothes moving without wind. The symbols carved into the stone walls also lit up, forming a massive magical array. 0

"No!" Teacher Li shouted. "Stop her!" 0

Zhang San Shui frantically flipped through his book, trying to chant a spell. But it was already too late. Zhou Yue, no—White-Clad Witch, merely waved her hand lightly. An invisible force knocked Zhang San Shui to the ground, sending the book flying far away. 0

"Your ancestors forged that bell with my Bloodline," she said. "Now it is your turn to be Sacrifice." 0

A loud crash echoed as the Bronze Bell fell from above, crashing heavily onto the stone tablet. The sound reverberated through the underground space, causing a painful ringing in the ears. 0

The white-clad spirits that had been wandering on the ground suddenly appeared in the underground, swirling around the bell. Their movements grew faster and faster, gradually transforming into a white whirlwind. 0

"Stop!" Teacher Li shouted, pulling a talisman from his pocket. "You can't do this! The seal down here contains more than just you..." 0

"I know that very well," the White-Clad Witch replied. "That's exactly why I intend to use this opportunity to release it as well." 0

"You're insane!" Zhang San Shui struggled to rise. "If that thing gets out, the entire village will be doomed!" 0

The White-Clad Witch raised her hand gently, and suddenly, winds began to swirl violently within the stone chamber. Zhou Yue felt her Bloodline resonating with that force, as if something was about to break free from its cocoon. In that moment, she understood her mother's feelings from years ago—the contradiction of knowing one cannot resist yet instinctively wanting to fight back. Her mother had chosen death; what choice would she make? 0

The cracks in the stone tablet widened, dark red liquid gushing forth. A foul stench filled the air, mingling with the scent of decay. 0

"It's coming out!" Zhang San Shui shouted in terror. 0

At that moment, Yang Su suddenly remembered something. He pulled out the copper coin he had found at the inn, noticing that the strange symbol on it was glowing. 0

"This is..." 0

"A sealing talisman!" Teacher Li exclaimed upon seeing the coin, his voice trembling. "It's the White-Clad Witch's nemesis! It was used to seal her away all those years ago!" 0
