Zhou Yue staggered backward, a heaviness settling in her chest. The figure before her bore her father's face, yet it felt foreign and terrifying. 0

"You... are no longer him, are you?" Her voice trembled. 0

The figure tilted its head, a smile emerging that straddled the line between affection and eeriness. 0

"I am still me, Yue'er. Just... more complete than before." It extended its hand. "Come, let me show you what the true self is." 0

Its body twisted as if it were about to split in two. Black substance oozed from within, spreading across the ground. 0

"You should find your true self as well," it said. "The purest blood flows within you; you are destined to inherit the will of the White-Clad Witch." 0

"No!" Zhou Yue shook her head. "I don't want this Bloodline!" 0

"You cannot escape," it spread its arms wide. "Look at yourself..." 0

Zhou Yue's body suddenly began to tremble. Her eyes started to glow, blue lines appearing beneath her skin. The power of the Bloodline was awakening. 0

"Stop!" Yang Su shouted, pulling out a copper coin and a jade pendant. 0

The light from the two artifacts intertwined, forming a golden barrier. The shadow was pushed back by the radiance, emitting a pained howl. 0

"Do you think those things are useful?" it sneered. "Look at your precious jade pendant." 0

Yang Su glanced down and saw the cracks in the pendant widening, its surface gradually darkening. 0

"The seal has weakened," the entity said. "Nothing can stop what is about to happen. The Bloodline of the White-Clad Witch will merge with demonic power. And Yue'er, you are the medium." 0

"No..." Zhou Yue clutched her head in agony. "I don't want this..." 0

Yang Su watched as her shadow twisted on the ground, gradually revealing a massive outline. The shape resembled some ancient creature, adorned with countless tentacles and sharp teeth. 0

"Come now," the shadow urged. "Let us complete the final ritual." 0

Its body suddenly swelled, transforming into a mass of pitch-black mist. Countless tentacles reached out from the mist, curling toward Zhou Yue. The walls of the Underground Altar began to seep dark red liquid, and a strong stench filled the air. 0

Yang Su raised his artifact, golden light intensifying. But those tentacles seemed unafraid of the radiance, piercing straight through the barrier. Each tentacle emitted an eerie glow, writhing as if alive. 0

"Useless," a voice echoed from the mist. "This time is different. We have new power." 0

Zhou Yue's eyes turned completely blue, and the patterns on her skin became more pronounced. Her shadow writhed on the ground, intertwining with the black mist. Ancient Runes emerged from within her, sketching mysterious patterns in the air. 0

"No... I don't want this..." Her voice quivered with tears yet was laced with excitement, as if something was awakening within her blood. 0

"You have no choice," the black mist said. "This is your destiny. Look at what flows within you! It is not just the blood of the White-Clad Witch; it is ancient power that has been waiting for the perfect vessel." 0

At that moment, a familiar voice echoed, "There is another choice." 0

At the end of the passage, a figure slowly approached. Leaning on a cane, he appeared much older, but that face—Gu Linshan—was unmistakable; it was his mentor! 0

"Teacher! Is it really you?" I hurried towards my mentor. 0

"Yes, but first we must address the immediate situation," Gu Linshan said as he pulled something from his robe. It was another jade pendant, identical to the one in Yang Su's hand. However, this pendant radiated a pure azure light, without a trace of impurities. 0

"For the past ten years, I have been searching for a way to counter this. I discovered that this bell acts like a great furnace, seeking someone who can truly harness its power. I survived because I found the genuine jade pendant and learned how to coexist with this force," Gu Linshan explained. "As long as the copper coin and the jade pendant remain, there is still hope." 0

"This is..." 0

"The real thing," Gu Linshan affirmed. "The one you have is fake. After I uncovered the truth years ago, I hid it away. This jade pendant is not meant for suppression; it is meant for guidance." 0

The black mist churned violently. "It's you again!" 0

"Yes, it is," Gu Linshan replied. "I said ten years ago that some powers are not meant to be suppressed." 0

He tossed the jade pendant to Yang Su. "Use this in conjunction with the copper coin. Then..." His gaze shifted to Zhou Yue. "Return the choice to her." 0
