I was in the dressing room touching up my makeup when my phone suddenly vibrated.
I picked it up and saw a message from my agent: "Xiao Ya, I have some good news to tell you!"
My heart skipped a beat, and I quickly replied, "What good news? Tell me!"
"You've been selected to star in an International Blockbuster! The director was very impressed with your work."

However, reality proved to be harsher than expected. On the first day of filming, I encountered language barriers. The technical terms used by the director were incomprehensible to me, and I struggled to express what I wanted to say.
I was sweating profusely with anxiety, wishing I could slap myself for being so unprepared. Finally managing to find some downtime, I hid in the restroom and began to cry quietly.
At that moment, my phone rang. It was a video call from Shen Yichen.
"Xiao Ya, how was the shoot today?" His gentle voice came through the screen.
I fought back tears and managed to squeeze out a smile. "It was okay, just a bit hard to adjust."
Shen Yichen seemed to sense something and softly said, "Don't worry, everyone faces difficulties at the beginning. You have to believe in yourself; you are amazing."
Hearing those words made my nose tingle, and tears streamed down my face uncontrollably.
"Yichen, I'm so afraid I'll mess this up..." I choked out.
"Silly girl, how could you mess it up?" Shen Yichen comforted me gently. "Remember, no matter what happens, I will always support you. You are the strongest and most talented girl I've ever met. I believe you can overcome these challenges."
His words were like a shot of adrenaline, giving me the courage to keep moving forward. I wiped my tears, took a deep breath, and gave myself an encouraging look in the mirror.
In the days that followed, I worked even harder on my language skills, humbly seeking advice from other actors and crew members. Gradually, my performance began to gain recognition from the director and my colleagues.
One day, the director even praised me in front of the entire crew: "Xiao Ya, your progress has been remarkable. Keep up this attitude, and you will surely become an outstanding international actress."
Hearing this warmed my heart; all the hard work had been worth it.
Thus, during my time in a foreign land, I not only gained invaluable filming experience but also made many friends from different countries. My horizons expanded significantly, and my understanding of the acting profession deepened.
Finally, after three months of hard filming, this International Blockbuster successfully wrapped up.
As I packed my bags to return home, I felt both excited and reluctant. Excited to reunite with family and friends but reluctant to leave this place that had helped me grow so much.
When the plane landed on familiar ground, I took a deep breath and inhaled the scent of home.
As soon as I stepped out of the airport, I was surrounded by a swarm of reporters and fans. The flashing lights and the barrage of questions caught me off guard.
"Xiao Ya, I heard you performed exceptionally well abroad. Can you share your feelings with us?"
"What impact has this international collaboration had on your acting career?"
"Do you feel closer to your dreams now?"
Facing these questions, I smiled and answered one by one. Suddenly, I spotted a familiar figure in the crowd—it was Shen Yichen!
Dressed in simple casual wear, he held a large bouquet of flowers and was smiling at me.
I couldn't help but run over and throw myself into his arms.
"Welcome home," he whispered in my ear.
